I love this story. It has them saying what they needed to, all along.

I didn't see this the first time that you posted it. It is WONDERFUL! I always wanted to hear them talk about "The Doctor in the Photo." It was such a powerful episode. It was also a complete mystery to me how Booth leapt into asking Hannah to marry him. I'm glad you had Bones bring it up.

The Proof in the Pudding is one of my fav episodes, one of the season 5 episodes, the season they should have gotten together in? They have always gone beyond when it comes to protecting one another. This story was an alternate means to explain a lot of the feelings each was experiencing during that post Hannah period. I always enjoy those stories:)

Interesting... I have to admit I not really convinced that Booth did love Hannah or could’ve been happy with Hannah. He didn’t know Hannah. They had a superficial relationship based solely on lust furthered along by Booth’s desire to prove he had moved on from Brennan- hence it blew up in his face.

There was that episode where he was screaming at the top of his lungs at how happy he was- it felt like he doth protest too much. They also continued the protesting too much even in the episode where she met Parker. And I would argue that Booth didn’t give himself completely to Hannah- I mean yes in a superficial sense... but relationships are about intimacy and he never told her about his true past. That episode where he tells Hannah about Brennan’s feelings he tells her he doesn’t have feelings for Brennan. There was a lot of dishonesty in that relationship. Later Booth admitted to lying to spare his feelings and that was the metaphor for the whole B/H relationship.

This was a good way to air a lot of issues that are still simmering there after the last couple of bruising seasons. I like this insight into why Brennan does what she does - I think she has gone to great lengths to protect Booth and I'm glad that it was acknowledged here.

There are still big chunks of season 6 I've not watched but reading this is sort of inspiring me to go back and get caught up! Nice work.

I mean this in the best possible way, but reading this makes me so angry - because we will never, ever, ever get to hear this kind of conversation between them and we should! They should! I refuse to believe they've never had this type of frank, open, lay-it-on-the-line discussion! But did we get to see/hear it? Noooooo. That pisses me off.

This is so good. And we absolutely deserved to see it happen IRL. Dammit.

I liked this version of their time together surrounding the V.D. case. I liked that Booth answered the question we've all wondered about, regarding the sister wives case and the "who you love the most" comment. And, I liked that Cam remembered what she'd said to Brennan in the "pudding" case. I guess you could say that I liked this story. :-)

Glad Booth finally put his thinking cap back on after retiring it for Hannah. Felt sorry for Brennan's heartbreak over Booth taking the easier path. Had Booth not told her at some point that the easier path is not the right one and that you have to work to get to your destination? To bad his easy path ended in cliff and because it was so easy he ignored the danger signs and he just fell off the cliff.
