SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I totally 3 these books and I was so surprised to see fanfiction about it! This was fantastic - I think you did a great job, taking advantage of the fact that these books were strictly written from the female character's point of view and fleshing out Vidanric's thoughts beautifully.

i love how you did this from vidanric's pov. and you did a great job! i felt his emotions very clearly.

This story was written years ago, and I am not sure if you will receive this review. However, this fic was absolutely amazing. Crown and Court Duel are among my favorite books, and I have always wondered what Vidanric felt about Meliara (besides the obvious). I fell in love with your Vidanric, the thoughts were so similar to his personality in the books. I felt his love, his frustration, his uncertainty. You did a really good job with this fic, and it will always be amongst my favorites!

oh WOW! how amazing was that? this is my first sherwood smith fic ive ever read, and im so glad i started with yours. :) excellently written! i adore mel and vidanric together, at first they seem like the most impossible couple ever, but i think theyre perfect! this was written so well, thank you. also, have you read the extra story about them, called something like...'vidanrics birthday surprise' or like it anyways. its an extra story about them, and in my copy of the two books it is at the back. if you have, would you consider doing vidanrics POV on it? if you ever have time, that is-just an idea! WELL DONE :)

I just re-read Court Duel and had a very strong desire to re-read this fanfic, too. That doesn't usually happen; I tend to read fics and forget about them, but it does happen with books, I get a sort of book-craving (I got one for CD, in fact).

I think it really speaks to the level of this fic that I not only remember it after three years, but that I got a hunger to read it again.
