This chapter just made me die through a combination of happiness and choking on cotton candy. It really was great!

This was absolutely perfect. No matter how old one gets, one always wonders if one's parents, or in this case Uncle, is proud of one.

Yup, the whole chapter seems very in-character for Zuko, though I wouldn't be at all surprised if he'd initially had, but determinedly smothered, feelings of jealousy that his friends were being sponsored but not him. He probably told himself that he was too busy with his Firelord duties for that stuff anyway.

As for Aang's sponsor, how about Guru Pathik? Nobody said he WASN'T a member, and we saw a few other people (in that desert episode) who were definitely members but not shown in the final battle for Ba Sing Se. Member or not, Pathik wouldn't have participated in that epic battle because he wasn't a bender and had exhibited no combat experience.

Great chapter. Zuko's slowness to realize what Iroh was getting at and his concern that he wasn't really good enough were perfect.

Lu Ten is right! That was inappropriate! You don't know how young your readers are!

Yeah, by the time he's 30 or so (and been a father for at least five years), Zuko would be mature and confident in himself enough to not let the resemblance bother him anymore; he'd have proved to not just his friends and family but -himself- that he would never be like Ozai on the inside, where it matters most.
