Great story

I just pulled an all nighter to read all these chapters and I'm loving all of it. P.s I'm sorry if this is not what you want to here and I don't know if you have reading the reviews on this one but will you ever continue on that Devil may cry x Kill la kill story? It's just that I read the prologue and I think this could turn out really good so will you continue on that and the DmC version too?

I personally would love to see the bad route, but only as a separate ending that continues on to a new story.
I couldn't bear a straight bad ending to this story.
although one question: when I imagine Dracula/Soma in seraph of the end I would imagine him as, while not being a first progenitor but, far beyond the powers of a second. where would you level him at?

Someone should probably inform Moka that inflicting massive head trauma probably won’t help Soma in the “remembering things” department.

You know, I kinda hoped Soma would remember more of his past life as Dracula, in the games I mean, and I’m not just talking about his Knowledge of Alchemy, Science, and Magic (though that could have been an interesting basis for a crafting system in the game, Soma slowly remembering recipes or blueprints from his past life and creating weapons, potions, and all sorts of things to help him in his fight) there’s also just the true nature of his connections to the Belmont’s, while I realize that at the end of the day, the idea of Dracula, or as he was called then, Mathias, being close friends with the original Belmont Vampire hunter, and even being instrumental in the creation of the Vampire Hunter Whip, not to mention the fact he offered Leon Belmont a chance to become a Vampire with him, or the idea that he didn’t really have a problem with humanity in general until they killed his second wife, Lisa, and he was driven mad by grief, those were all things the writers probably came up with latter in the series. But it would have been neat to see Soma remember and eventually reflect on his previous life’s action with the benefit of hindsight, aka, when he wasn’t lashing out in anger at his wife’s death (either of them) or being driven even crazier by his Castle resurrecting him again and again as a side effect of his stupid curse, perhaps berate himself for causing so much death and destruction over the course of his centuries long war with the Belmont’s, and it was all set into motion because he couldn’t move past both Elisabetha’s and Lisa’s deaths, maybe we could see him morn for the friends/loved-one’s he had that he loss, like Leon, Lisa, Elisabetha, people like Isaac and Hector, who (if you’re going the Netflix route) while humans, were the closest friends he had left shortly before his death. Just saying, Dracula/Soma is a very interesting character when you think about all the potential for a good arch in him, this is guy who went from a normal high school student, to the reincarnation of not only one of the greatest dark lords in history, but a man who, to quote a certain forge-master had the “wisdom of ages”. Just saying, you have a lot of potential material to work with when it comes to Soma.

Gotta say, I love this story. It’s entertaining, a good concept, and the grammar improves a long the way.

An idea I had for this story, but you don’t have to do this, is to add another OC. Again, you don’t have to do this, but it might be fund to do this.

The OC would be called Maxwell La’croix, a warlock and devil forge master. He is descended from Issac and Hector and transfers to the academy after hearing of Moka and thinking she might be Dracula’s reincarnation, only to find soma and pledge himself to the him alongside Death. Think of Warloks as male witches, they’re practically the same thing except that Maxwell was born with the skill of Devil Forgemastery (necromancy). He’d be another brother figure for Yukari and would be a more sarcastic character.

Again, you don’t have to do this. I don’t want to pressure you or anything. Just an idea

Ah, love the Valentine's Day episode, sorry I missed it earlier.

Anyway, Eucliwood definitely beat out the roommates, I'm amazed Haruna snuck about in after Alucard gave her the boot, just shows how audacious she is. A pity she can't make chocolate as well as Eucliwood, she won that competition hands down.

But man, a shame Soma never got to taste Moka's chocolates, then again he might've been mugged if he did.

Anyway, glad to see you in action again, and looking forward to the next chapter.

This was a nice comic relief chapter before getting back into the dark gritty stuff in the main story line. Also, in regards to your Castlevania/Index crossover, I would have to recommend you don't replace Touma outright with Soma but to have them both be the protagonists instead. To me, Touma is one of those characters where if you swap him out with another character, the series just won't feel the same. I think it was a good call that you left Shirou in your fate story as a second protagonist instead of hijacking his role entirely, and the same should also be done for Kamijou. He could be like Soma's best friend and/or roomate and both of them can get caught up in the magic side, though Touma could also get more involved with science side events. They could also become rivals if you plan to go down the Char/Amuro route with those characters, and it would be even more interesting that Touma is not related to the Belmonts or any other clan that's hunted Dracula, but would stand the best chance of defeating him because of Imagine Breaker. It's true nature hasn't been explored fully in canon so maybe you could add your own spin to it. Just throwing out suggestions.

Also, I'm sure people have brought this up before, but perhaps you should try and ease back on the Japanese terminology a bit and use it sparingly.

You know what would have been kinda funny and I’m kinda annoyed never happened, if Kurumu was forced into a situation where she had to try and seduce some guy, maybe even use her charm ability on him, but find herself in the awkward situation of trying to seduce a gay man. Which I could see going either him not noticing, or him simply laughing it off. (I specifically said gay man because assume the charm ability would work on a gay woman), that’s assuming the Charm ability is affected by the targets sexuality, since there was that time Kou got his hands on something that gave him an ability similar to Charm in its general function and he was able to affect not only members of the opposite gender, but Ginei, a character I’m pretty sure we can say was heterosexual (as we never saw him lusting after men the way he does women, it’d certainly be easier seeing as he’s actually allowed in the men’s changing room). So one could argue that a succubus’s charm ability would work on a gay man, and I just realized I’m probably putting way too much though into an ability I’m pretty sure is never used outside of the first episode Kurumu played an important role in.

Honestly, the dialogue is incredibly lacking. At times it does not feel as if they are talking to each other, random thoughts are also thrown in, at least use 'thought' instead, or even use italics. I don't even know if they said some of the stuff they say out loud or not, I don't know if it was shouted, or mumbled, or simply thought of.

I would expect a rewrite would have better dialogue and attention to detail, but apparently not. I have not read the other (previous?) version and I am glad I haven't if this is the sort of quality I can expect from it.

first reading I did not understand why Tsukune was discarded without apparent reasons?
perhaps because his presence was generating and to avoid any possible competition between Soma and him for Moka's heart?

but disappointed to find that as I feared seeing Tsukune absent that story quickly became Soma X Tsukune harem!
it's probably a good story, but by principle, no matter the reason i dislike remplacement fic and harem stealing, also i'm out.

Fun fact the voice act or from Dance In The Vampire Bund for Mina is the same for Krul from Seraph Of The End.
