This is gorgeous. The pacing, the word choice. It's emotional and raw and there's something so purposefully disconnected, that helps characterize their situation. Really, really loved this piece.

I was scared to read this one. I knew it was going to fill me with a dull ache because of how your writing is and the way it affects me. The story is so beautiful though, and the ending is full circle. I like to think that the place she is painting is their new home, so for me, it's a happier ending than I first thought it would be. Beautiful, stunning.

This broke my heart just a little, it's so sad and angsty yet beautiful in its own right...excellent work.

But then, it also brings up something else. What if the ending was... What if it was all in their heads? What if the whole movie was in Rapunzel's head?
