So many times since I entered FF in 2016 I came accross this Story and was sad I couldn't read it because Kindle words was not available in germany. Now it's back and after reading it in one go I realize it's truly a masterpiece. Great work!

I really enjoyed this story - it should be extended - more of Damon & Elena definitely together - proposal, marriage & married life .

I read this the first time it was here and I liked it and then I read the published version and I have to admit I wasn't a fan of it but re reading this now I like it again. I think making it into a T rating was a mistake and took away a lot of this story and its purpose and theme of bloodsharing. It wasn't meant to be that way and only reading this version I can feel the magic of it again.
Only SE parts I have some small issues with it because it doesn't fit with later canon but what's important is that DE is spot on.

I was truly honoured to read this short story and I am so glad I did. Here is an exploration into the living being and soul that has never been seen before. Reading this has left me with many questions about the human body in general and all the ways that love and selfishness and personality and everything about a person, or in this case, vampire, can be seen. I honestly loved this story, and the writing is impeccable. I am both awed and jealous, ready to bow to feet in disgusting displays of kiss ass and also beg the heavens for just a slice of the talent I saw in the novel. So impressed and delighted. Devoured it.
