I just wanted to say that this was absolutely lovely! It felt so in-character for the both of them, a quiet moment turned steamy, turned gentle again that could so easily happen between them. My favorite line would probably Jem joking, ""I'm afraid…I am not as energetic as I was…in my youth," because it's amazing that he can stand to have a sense of humor about something that must frustrate him so constantly. I love how Tessa was so tentative about initially asking him to stay with her, but once she had his promise, she was quite stubborn about getting her cuddles and wouldn't let him wiggle out of it. Adorable. I hope you write more of these two. 3
