I so wish you would magically pick these stories up again to give them the endings they deserve :) you are so talented, I get absorbed into these little worlds and I cant get enough of it. I think you have nailed the characters here, perfectly. Wonderful work!

Whew! Finally caught up!

Aw, they all finally "made up"! I can't imagine how long that'll last. I'm actually sad that I'm caught up now. I need to know what comes next! But of course, life takes priority and I know you're going through an insanely tough time.

Whenever you return to this story, I'll eagerly be awaiting an update :3

You know, I never thought about how weird it was when Rinoa and Seifer were together. I could see how they'd work (and consequently, fall apart both amicably and going up in flames) but the description of the kiss was just, ugh, difficult to make it through ha. While I think Seifer's a babe (and Squall. They're both just...), poor Rinoa being so NOT in the moment was like, Blah.

Also, Squall's reaction was the best.

Oh snap, that development though! I was so surprised he asked to speak to her alone and now, that ending line.

I can't even process enough to say anything else. I need to read the next chapter. Now.

I think I enjoyed this chapter the most, thus far. I loved Seifer's pissed off tirade. So him. So perfect.

Also, Squall is just...he's so Squall. Even I'M getting pissed at his attitude. He's such a dick in this chapter. I love seeing him parallel his personality from the beginning of the game. I'd almost forgotten how...bad he was at maneuvering social interactions. I also particularly enjoy the subtle hints you're throwing our way about how they affect each other, in inexplicable ways.

So one of my betas, and coincidentally a really good friend, is writing an AU story with Seifer as a detective as well. It's funny because I would've never thought of the idea myself, but after reading what she's written so far for her story, and reading up to the end of chapter two of yours, it just fits so well. Seifer as a detective? Calling shots and dealing with the nitty gritty of murders and other investigations? Yes please.

Anyway, I'm excited that Quistis showed up. On to the next!

Oh my goodness. It's been a really long time since I've read any of your work, and even then, After the Fall has been the only one I've delved into. I tend to shy away from AUs but I figured, 'it's Ashbear, it'll be the best'.

Already from chapter one, I sense that'll be true. I love how you've managed to capture all three of their personalities perfectly. Your setting of the scene is incredible too, as always. I can't wait to read more! This is just a fantastic first chapter!

Pretty good chapter here, Ashbear! Felt as though the humorous tone that's emerging throughout the piece is really evident here, especially with the image of the "four musketeers" becoming one grand ole team. Fabulous. I felt as thought it was becoming reminiscent of the teaming up that was going on in After the Fall, but Seifer is just an added bonus.

Question: did the mention of Rinoa becoming incriminated because of her knowledge of Zone's drug activities ever come up? In fact, I'm almost certain it did but I'm not so sure what the outcome was exactly...ah, concentrations skills are pretty nil, haha.
