I love the story so far, I like that Kozue has almost fallen into Asuma’s role of tension with Hiruzen, I wonder if he’ll take after her? I hope you end up continuing this it’s really interesting!

this is honestly so amazing. i love how you write kozue so realistically and how you portray your other characters. tbh hiruzen is the character i dislike the most but you manage to encourage me to read further to hiruzen’s perspective !

I died laughing at the “35,790,543 drops” bit because if she managed to count that many; she would have been there for over 9941 hours hahahahaha

Obviously this is a tad late, but I just want to congratulate you on the SI's characterization. I legitimately have very rarely seen teenage angst and petulance done this well.

Now that might sound backhanded, but I mean that sincerely- far too many authors simply fail to depict their characters as anything but very short adults. Kozue feels exactly like a teenager- stupidity, petulance, and absurdly poor judgement all wrapped around a core of potential.

So good show! Also infuriating, because I hate teenagers, but that just shows you're very good at what you do.

Hiruzen makes me sad but he has such heavy burdens on his shoulders.

Hey, so it's been awhile since this story has been last updated (like 2 years) and I'm not even sure if you'll read this review, but I still wanted to write something in case you do. I hope you're fine wherever you are and will chose to continue this story whenever you feel ready to do so. But I know that updating a story can be harder than people might think; life, unfortunately, doesn't revolve around writing fan fics and people do have their own responsibilities.

Now, about the story: I found the idea really interesting; a self-insert story where the protagonist had already been involved with the military in their first life? I've never read a fanfic like that before and found it really fascinating! I like how you portrayed the shinobi world, because it really isn't as innocent, sparkly and full of sunshine as the manga/anime wants you to think. Though I do kinda wish that her involvement with the military would have influenced your character more (not necessarily ability wise; more personality wise. I mean, ten years of experience with the military has to be noticeably in some way. Probably?) I think you had really interesting ideas in your story that make it unique, and your writing style is nothing to sneeze at either. You also made me laugh at some points when I didn't expect to. Overall, this is a lovely story and I would have loved to read more of it I don't know if you'll ever continue this, but I will definitely be there to read it if you do!

Brilliant story and oh so human in the way you show Kozu's reluctance to the Shinobi life. I understand Hiruzen's perspective on why he's doing this to his daughter, but that man deserves a kick to the family jewels.

I would have liked to see her and hiruzen.. In a argument and then she leaves. Like moves out into a apartment.
