Sorry, I didn't know what else to day. This episode really got to me too (remember when I said the show never really showed Jane's family? And how that was irritating? Well, finally). Charlotte wasn't what I was expecting either. She was wonderful.

Okay, so the fic. It's wonderful (but your fics always are). I'm also thinking this fic might very quickly go AU. I mean, I love how you had Jane drinking regular tea and talking to Teresa, but I'm worried that the writers are going to take the show in a direction of - "Well, Jane had a fake breakdown last season. Let's show you what a *real* breakdown looks like." It's a concern I have. Given his character arc the last two seasons, especially, I really don't see him opening up to Teresa like this - even though I WANT him to.

Anyway, you're fantastic. Please keep writing Mentalist fics. A lot of what's out there is cheesy, sugary silliness (the Jisbon fandom makes me want to gag), and you've never gone in that direction.

Great dialogue and reasoning. Great to hear the more logical argument for the end of that wonderful, funny, heartbreaking episode. Well done, and thank you for this!
