I read the summary and was very interested to see how it would turn out. I never loved Rinoa/Squall and find Quistis/Squall a good alternative, and I think you've come up with a very plausible scenario. Both are very much in character and their conversation is super cute.

Oh, look, Quistis and Squall have grown into people people! A true person's person! They've learned things about themselves and eachother. But, Squall still seems a bit slow since Quistis was able to trick him for a few seconds.

I found the part where he could have tricked her particularly funny, because Quistis probably would fall for it. Squall's trademark is his ability to overlook basic human interaction.

For a minute there I thought she was still mad at him, seeing as how she threw it in his face about talking to walls. Of all the times for her to make a joke, but it is pretty amusing when she started to laugh. Poor Squall probably thought she was serious.

I like how this ended on a good note with the two of them deciding to go together. It'll be easier for him as long as she's there, and it's sweet of her to suggest they go together.

All together I'd say this is a cute, well writtem story that expresses a lot of emotion. You express their emotions so well that the reader can easily get a feel on what they're going through.

Handled very well. I appreciate seeing both of them more grown up.
