Wow! I really really loved it!
At the beginning I was expecting more ShizuCelty, but the line of the story is so good that I can't complain. I think you already have heard this before, but the characters are true to their role, so everything feels so natural that I have to say it one more time: wow!

A perfect story for the Durarara fandom. You captured all the elements perfectly and felt like it could have been part of the anime. I really enjoyed reading Celty's perspective and how she feels about all of the characters. She's definitely the popular lady of the hour despite not having a head. I like how you captured the fact that love in this series isn't something solely based on looks but just on how people feel about one another. Even if said people are insane, it all works about because the emotion is genuine.

The grammar was flawless from my standpoint, the pacing wonderful, and everyone was kept in character perfectly. Loved it from start to finish especially since Celty still choose to stay with Shinra. (I love those two together and though I like the Celty/Shizuo pairing, I can't really see it working unless Shinra is completely out of the picture.) In hindsight, I really liked what you did here. You delved into all the potential pairings for Celty and that's what makes this story great. All in all, great work. This one is going in the favorite's list for sure.

Anyway, I can't believe this doesn't have more reviews. I thought it was fantastic. Your portrayals of the characters were perfect. When I read this, I could imagine each of them saying their lines in their own voices. Everyone was perfectly in character, and the plot was believable as well.

Your writing style was professional and descriptive, though you did change tenses a bit throughout the story. The first person narrative fit nicely and have Celty a lot of depth.

My heart broke for Shizuo at the end (and for myself, because I love Shizelty), but you know, it was satisfying. It gave the fic a legitimate feel, because in the end, she really wouldn't have chosen him over Shinra. Not in this scenario. Again, I applaud you for keeping them so in character.

All in all, great work with this!

Great plot development so far. It's moving at a nice pace and unfolding nicely. The whole thing seems exactly like something Izaya would do. I'm just sad that I only have one more chapter to read before I'm caught up!

This was a great first chapter. It set up the story very nicely, and I'm definitely seeing all of the potential for where this story can go. I'm loving how you're writing it in the first person from Celty's point of view, too. Not many people can pull it off, but you do it perfectly and it really feels like her. :D

It's ridiculous that this doesn't have more reviews - it's perfect (aside from the lack of ShizuCelty cuddling and excess Shinra, but that's my personal blah blah and I'll shut up about it :)).

But the writing was wonderful, the characterisation was wonderful - it was just brilliant. Thank you for writing it, basically.
