Okay so. I'm taking one moment to learn how to breath again. Okay. Done. Now I can write this review (I guess).

I think I'll begin from this feeling. I don't know how I could describe it, but the only word that comes to my mind is angst. Literally. This is angst at it's purest state, and it is amazing. Heart breaking. Breathtaking. I love the description of Reyna's thoughts and feeling throughout the whole fic. I adore it. It makes you feel what she's feeling and you get in touch very well with her proud and fierce personality. It's amazingly written.

Not to talk about you writing style. I adore the fact that it's like we are floating in Reyna's mind and thoughts. Your styles kind of reminds me of Virginia Woolf's stream of consciousness, which I love. And the beginning is amazing, really. When you talk about Roman mythology and the fact that Reyna doesn't understand Greek mythology because women overreact to the smallest things. I swear, I screamed in that part. That is Reyna. This is Reyna. Perfect description.

And last but not least, I love the title of this os! I think titles are maybe the most important thing in fics/writing in general, and yours is perfectly chosen. I've seen titles that were beautiful but didn't fit, you know, the story, but yours does perfectly. Collateral damage. The damage you don't expect but that's inevitable. In Reyna's case, the effects of love (and by the way, I love your explanation of love).

So yeah, in conclusion, I find this fic beautiful, tragic, and poetic. It's probably one of my favourite jeyna fics now lol.

I love the touch of jealousy you did on this piece. The anger, the frustration, the tiny acceptance but the need to do something about it regardless of what it cannot change. I also love Reyna. So that's it.

I am left speechless. Dark Reyna is now my new drug and honestly, if uncle Rick dwelled more on Reyna's character, (and gave her a pov in MoA lol) the possiblity of her having these thoughts is very likely.

Oh my god the angst. I love how you weave the mythology in this. And life. After all, don't we all make promises we can't keep? A lot of readers think of Reyna as this super soldier who doesn't need love, but she does

5'5" is short, but it's not THAT short. ...Yes, Reyna calling Piper's height short is what I got from of this. Sorry. I love this oneshot and I know you wrote it two years ago, but as a 5'5" chica I'm tired of people calling me tiny, cute, little one, shortstuff, etc. I mean it's /almost/ average height. I'm not short and neither is Piper... But otherwise yeah I love the title, it's sort of a depressing story, but in an oddly comforting way.

Beautiful, that was excellent. I thought that it portrayed Reyna really well.

Ugh, I just adored this. Reyna is so badass, and I'm glad that you let that shine through, especially at the end. I also loved her realization of why Venus was a major god. I don't know what else to say except that I loved this!

Honestly, I really dislike Piper. I don't think she even used Katoptris for battle. She only looks at it, sees horrifying images, then faints. Whew.

Reyna is slightly OOC but I have no real complaints there since this story has done well in conveying the grief and dark thoughts of a forsaken girl.

You certainly have the feel of those books down solid. Great read.
