Feferi chapter 22 . 11/28/2015 Oh shit, Harvey's on the move! |
Guest chapter 22 . 7/29/2015 I'm always so glad to see this story update. The style and setting are so good and it's constantly fascinating. I can't wait to see them looking into the new mysteries this time about Selina and the break-in. It's great finally seeing Jervis' view a bit clearer on their relationship too. (You mis-spelt his surname a couple of times but that's a minor thing.) I can absolutely imagine Edward being that taken with the ring; his character is always so amusing in this and I just adore how you write him. And the sex is so funny and tasteful here; it's perfect. At a couple of points, the description seemed a bit heavy about the clothes and building architecture but you have such nice ideas and descriptions for it that it'd be a shame to lose much. There's so much going on here now. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all plays out, especially since Jonathan and Edward are getting so serious and close. |
Katherine chapter 22 . 7/28/2015 Dun dunnn duuuuunnnnn. Well, it had been getting a little idyllic over at the Crane household, I suppose. |
Katherine chapter 19 . 2/15/2015 (Logged out because I already reviewed this chapter heh. This is a favorite of mine, so I'm re reading it). I was considering the date... Jonathan muses about another war on the horizon, and while he's too old to be drafted, in six years, Edward would be a prime candidate... All this, just to be sent off and killed. It's a morbid thought, but I suppose it's one Crane would have when he heard buzz in the papers and hallways about the draft... If he could get Edward into school and working through a Masters and Doctorate he might be able to get an education exemption, but I don't know how it worked in WWII as far as those went. |
Wolferix chapter 21 . 1/16/2015 Good Lord I love this story, and it's so wonderfully written! Please, oh please continue! Jonathan is buying a ring; I gotta know what happens next! Please update soon! |
Feferi chapter 21 . 8/21/2014 Well, I certainly liked this big wall o' text! This chapter was, in my opinion, a good mix of easygoing narration and ominous foreshadowing. WOW AND THAT LAST PART HMMMMMM. :D |
Adelaide 'Adell' Peirce chapter 21 . 8/17/2014 Please, please update soon. I really love this story as it is a real masterpiece. It pulls on my heartstrings which very, very few fanfiction can manage and the writing is divine. Please, please, please. You cannot imagine my glee when I saw an update and I read it not twice, not thrice but plenty of times. Perhaps one of the best Jonathan and Eddie fanfiction out there. |
ZenithXY chapter 21 . 8/17/2014 I really ought to have reviewed this story sooner but it is so amazing that the will to critique it fails me. AUs can so rarely be pulled off without the story feeling like one in its own right, without reference to the original, but you picked a perfect setting for the rogues. They have been in character throughout, even if quite a change has come over Jonathan lately. I wonder how Edward will change for this development as well. And of course the details of the era are precise and wonderful. This latest chapter was good for easing off the plot to do some character development. It would have been nice to hear some more from Jervis on his reaction to events - I always feel sorry for him in this story, but particularly now he has been left in the dark, even if he suspects by himself. But his part with Harleen was fantastic nonetheless, as was every little part of Jonathan and Edward. There were a couple of tiny spelling mistakes in this chapter. If you would ever like a beta-reader, I would be happy to help. I assume Harvey and various other plot-elements will be returning soon, as well as the fate of this ring. Ah, you know a great place to leave a story. Do I even need to say how fervently I await the next chapter? |
Inuluvr chapter 21 . 8/16/2014 Thank you for updating with another fantastic chapter; keep up the awesome work! |
Katherine chapter 21 . 8/16/2014 Oh, Johnny... He's lost it, now. |
Feferi chapter 20 . 6/11/2014 If you're hearing joyous trilling in the distance, that's me after reading this chapter. :D |
Inuluvr chapter 20 . 6/2/2014 This is the best Scarecrow/Riddler piece I've ever read! The writing is superb and the story is amazingly capturing and exciting. I absolutely adore this universe you've set up and the characters are so well fleshed out. I'm simply stunned at how good this is. Thank you so much for writing this, I eagerly await the next installments to this piece! I also read that you were- and perhaps still are- looking for a beta reader. If you are still interested in one, I would be more than happy to do it. (assuming you are okay with my writing style. If you don't like my writing style, however, I will take absolutely no offense to you turning down my offer. :) ) I just wanted to let you know I'd be more than willing to help out. Keep up the fantastic work. I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of this! |
HelixForTheStars chapter 20 . 5/26/2014 I swear I squealed when I saw there was an update. I love this. So much. ALL THE LOOVE |
Katherine chapter 20 . 5/15/2014 Awesome chapter. The last line is really very amusing. Anytime someone writes about Crane's self-image it's a bit sad, but the counterpoint of Eddie's genuine attraction was very well written and made it even more poignant that Pamela must have meant the things Jonathan hadn't believed, etc. |
Rickman101 chapter 19 . 1/25/2014 Sorry to hear you've been having a bad time, I really hope things are begining to look up for you now. My emotions were all over the place reading this chapter, my heart was in my throat when Jonathan realised Edward was missing! I love how Jonathan's begining to open up to Edward and how their dynamic is changing and how their relationship is progressing. I also love how Harvey feels like the sword of Damocles dangling above them and how however happy I'm feeling for them his threat is always there making me anxious! Can't wait to see where this is headed... Really though, I can't begin to tell you how much I love it. This really is an engaging story and I think that no matter how often it's updated there'll still be interest in it (most definitely from me at any rate!) and I'd really like to thank you for writing it, it's beautiful! |
