Saundoval is evil. What a way to strike at the most prominent Muggleborn but also hurt an auror that is hunting him. Hermione is still alive but out of reach, knowing nothing of her relationship with Ginny.

Damn I knew there was going to be an attack soon. What a cliffhanger.

I'm not entirely sure why this Sandovan guy would go to the trouble of messing with Hermione's memories. Killing her would have been easier. Sure it does goes more suffering this way but he has to realize this is probably reversable. I have faith in Ginny, she'll find the wand with or without wizard attached ;) Ginny might not be that good with relations but she's a very good Auror by all accounts so somebody is in trouble...

I'm also happy that the memory loss only affects Hermione. That way it can't be a huge reset for all previous problems.

Obviously this story is about Ginny & Hermione, but realistically Ginny doesn't have that much of claim to Hermione anymore now does she? She feels a lot for Hermione sure they'd split up so it stands somewhat to reason the feelings weren't entirely mutual anymore.

(I realize this story is years old, but I'm posting comments as I read just to show even years later people can enjoy it ;-)

I think Ginny and Hermione have a different view on what a relationship *is*. Things like "but it was the wand that was pointed towards her that glued her feet to the ground" don't exactly endear me to Ginny either, the intention is like waving a gun at someone.

They clearly have different priorities, just doesn't match. If one person puts way more energy into a marriage compared to the other it won't work long term. Doesn't really matter if the input is truly needed, it has to be balanced somewhat to last.

I'm actually thankful for Janine shocking Hermione into looking out for her own a bit more. Ironic how Ginny claims to take care of the entire world (by protection it against evil wizards) but fails to take care of Hermione, while the latter would be much easier to do :)

Hopefully Janine won't be a future rebound-victim, that'd be sad.

Now the question is can Ginny really change and *should* she even change if it is such a big change for her? How long would such a big change 'hold' for lack of a better word ?

It's interesting that this fic has Ginny & Hermione listed as 'cast' so to speak but not as 'relation'... hmm.. :)

This continues to be one of my favorite femslash stories on this site. I've read it several times. I don't even know if you still log on here ever but just in case, thanks for writing this. People still read it. :)

I've read this several times and it remains my favorite Hermione/Ginny story. The scene where Hermione comes on to Ginny while they are still together and is rejected is so incredibly well written and heartbreaking. You really allow Hermione to fall in love with Ginny a second time. It's not rushed and you never shy away from the awkwardness of the situation. To top it all off, it's incredibly well written. I know it's been years since you've completed it but I thought maybe you'd see this and feel good for the day. Take Care.

I'm sorry, but...where is your fiction, At Sunrise? Its one of my favorites and I'm so sad to find that it is gone. I hope it's not permanently removed and you're planning to repost it, or something.

You know, this could be a very interesting nature vs nurture thing. Like seeing if you could replace how someone acts with other people or if you could re invent there personality and such. I probably didn't do a good job explaining that...

My god yes she has had more than enough. I hope I can find the strength to leave a relationship if I don't want it anymore.
