I don’t think you should have to suffer through scathing reviews for something we’re only lucky enough to read because you’ve put the time and effort in to read it for free. I absolutely love your ocs too. Alistair and Sebastian are so well written that I couldn't help falling in love as much as I have with canon characters! Maybe even more!

Jcr is a troll. I seen him on lots of fics in this fandom complaining up a storm like a tantrum throwing toddler. But he doesn't have the courage to do out of anon and clearly isn't writing himself. Just a whiney entitled brat. As soon as I saw about rude comments I suspected but looking confirm it. He harasses me too. So I commented anon in case he looks and comes to me again.

Your story is really good. Its brings me lots of entertainment and enjoyment when my own days are going bad. I keep coming back to it like my Merlin crack. Every twist and turn puts me on my seat. So don't listen to that guy. Write at the pace that's comfortable with you. And take care yourself before anything else.

At the end of the day this is a story. And you as a person with health needs are more important than a fic being finished. If people think otherwise they're being children. No one is entitled to your words. That you give them is a gift. And you can take them away at any time. So I am grateful for them.

Poor Merlin. Who could blame him for having a panic attack? I am just glad that he had friends around him this time.
The smudge was an interesting procedure. Cannot help but think it did a little good at least.
Very moving moment when Merlin finally broke down on the reveal of his scars. This was a long time coming. Sebastian was brilliant. Even though he was furious of the treatment Merlin had received, he kept his cool.
This seems to be a turning point for Merlin. Has he finally realised how bad things really are in Camelot? Sometime we get so caught up in getting through one day at a time, we just don't think about the big picture. It often takes a big push to open our eyes. I think Merlin has finally opened his.
Would loved to have been a fly on the wall at the feast. Arthur was obviously furious. But again, he jumped at Merlin as soon as Merlin did something 'wrong'. I realise he is trying to protect him, but it all has gone so very pear shaped.
Brilliant to see some fire back - if only for a moment - in Merlin. He could give those Lords and extra magic push from me!

I am sorry you are struggling with the story. You are a very talented writer and excel in the angst department. I wonder if this is what creates some of those toxic comments. It is hard not to get so very wrapped up in your story. Perhaps you should consider these a type of backhanded compliment? I know I get angry at Arthur and his action (or inaction), but I see this as a testament of how your writing has pulled me in. I would never mean any remarks to be negative to yourself and ask that you see them only as a reaction to the plot.
Anyway. You are very gifted. You are writing a brilliant story. The characters are believable and real and I thank you for sharing it with us.

We were so excited last year when there were more chapters but now it has been months and still nothing leaving Merlin in limbo, despair and coming apart at the seems to say the least. We do not need more of this we need a solution and hopefully it will be Merlin in Mercia.
