I'm here because I'm 20 years old, I read this in tenth grade, and the paragraph about Ferb's subtle touching upon the idea of Vanessa in his films suddenly struck me again as the most profoundly romantic thing I've ever read. With another man, maybe it wouldn't be, but Ferb is Ferb, with all his particular good-hearted love and little emotive things, and so it just is.

there are guys who can be neurotically neater than a girl and ferb is one of them. and that can explain ferb's patient listening: growing up with a crazy sister and an energetic brother.

there are also some people who have difficulty opening up to other people and vanessa is one of them.

your story has most certainly shown how good ferb is for her.

i think it's safe to say that inside his head, he's doing a victory dance that his movie worked. he had never gotten over her. and you've handled their interaction as well: vanessa's hesitation, ferb's subtle body language, and her vulnerability that the reader suspect she rarely shows to anyone.

i like this line:

"he could kiss her. if she was any other girl."

we will never know ferb's whole name, will we?

candace being candace and i can imagine ferb living in a grand house but wearing simple but functional clothes.

"an uncharacteristically wide smile spread across hi normally impassive face." with that one word :)

wow, he managed to shake her world even when he's not even there. that is ferb hardcore that we know :)

interesting perspective as well about her behavior to her dad that developed into a surprising turn.

finally, the moment we've been waiting for!

i always thought vanessa got the body and the brains in being a supervillain -she just doesn't want to. and you have definitely caught her grown-up character in here.

you know, when she was talking to that poor man, it's like reading a cat playing a mouse before killing it. :)

another great chapter. i have little idea how directing goes but the way you've written it simply it seems like you have some ideas about it.

ladies' man, huh, ferb? i only realize now after reading this fic that "meeting halfway" refers more than to her dad.

beautiful childhood infatuation. you really described vanessa to ferb with distubingly simple precision- and in disturbingly i mean awesome :)

and this is a very original outtake in ferbnessa and you have took it from ferb's dream to become a director. it also makes sense that he would portray vanessa like that in his movies- flitting and in his own way, subtle.

you are right it is underrated what with people thinking "he's just a kid, gross!" pls, boys do grow up to your approved age and we are referring to after a couple of years.

This is an extremely good read. Everything I was looking for in a Vanessa and Ferb fanfiction. Awaiting chapter 11.
