This was really great! Your fic led me to Lady Charity's fic, and this was a fantastic accompaniment to the segment where Gard was in. I'm glad that it wasn't Gard who was killed, and I liked how you wrote from Gard's perspective and showed his compassion :)

I am glad that the one who tores into pieces wasnt Gard, the ones who fed loki the bread. I getting more invested with Gard when he give his insight and talk of his brother who was held prisoner.

Now, i thought about it. That guard who told Gard bribe might a noble fellow that didnt rattle him out. Or maybe the other kill him without a trial or any questioning.

OHMAHGOD. When I read Syrgja, I totally assumed the one torn to pieces was Gard himself, but... I prefer this head!canon, to be honest. Sorry, random guard...
