Poor, Poor Daffy. I must say, Daffy is by far my most favorite Looney Tunes character of all time. And Chuck Jones was so mean to him! Jones was a fabulous cartoonist and director, but as his career went on, his cartoons become more predictable and formulaic in my opinion. I love the Looney Tunes of the '40s and early '50s, when Daffy was allowed to have a little more fun. Have you seen any of the Looney Tunes cartoons directed by Bob Clampett? ("The Great Piggy Bank Robbery" is a famous one.) I love Clampett's wacky spontaneity. The man was a mad genius!
