Since I just got into college myself, this rings bells all over the place (mostly about OTHER people following their loved ones to college), and it kind of makes me think about what my priorities would have been. Both are selfish options - love or money - but they have so much appeal everywhere.

Jim has slightly less of a terrifying option since EU is, apparently, a very nice, prestigious university no matter what. Still, though. Yale. Money and power and career and notoriety and importance, and he took the smaller option to follow his heart. Was he the bigger man because of it? People always tell you to do that, but how many people ACTUALLY do?

I dunno. It's interesting. It makes me think. I like it :)

This. Was. AWESOME. Of course I needed to read it as soon as I was notified, and I freakin' loved it. It was short (compared to Enterprise High!), but excellent, and I found myself almost smirking throughout the entire story. I envy your addicting style and complexity. Never stop writing :)

BEST. ONE-SHOT AU. EVER. I could feel the anxiety, the adrenaline, the fervor, just...everything Kirk was going through, I went through, too, and that takes some serious skill to pull. You did an excellent job on writing this and I LOVED Spock's line at the end: "We make our own opportunities." Greatest line ever written in the history of line-writing.

*sigh of contentment* You posted another story! I just love the way you write these characters; they're new but not foreign and even when it's a shorter story the entire character development is still there. In otherwords - LOVE.
