I love this fic so much! It was brilliantly well written, without anything to break the flow. This may sound odd, but the way you write reminds me of the comforting, almost fuzzy feeling you get when your sat on a rug next to a fire. If you can relate to that... :)

There are so many stories where any intimacy between them is swallowed up when it is turned into shallow, predictable smut. Yours is so touching and mellow, and I prefer this to smut any day. It is beautiful.

My heart always breaks a little when an insecure River is portrayed, but your introduction of the Doctor knowing she will never grow old in crushing. I know he always says he never minds that she ages, that she's human, but he must always have that at the back of his head when he says it.

I always love that the Doctor loves River so much, and that it doesn't bother him at all that she looks older than him. It's sweet. And reminds us that love sees with the eyes of love. It's also wonderfully hilarious, since he's actually so much older than her. And that he is even a bit insecure about looking too young.

I liked that he'd taken care of a Slytheen infiltration of the ship without her, so that they wouldn't have any interruptions. LOL! I like River's comment about the older man thinking she rich and interesting "Nothing unusual." LOL!

And I definitely love that the Doctor thinks his wife is Yowzah!

Great story, great writing style, great angle on the story. And you characterized the Doctor and River perfectly. Everything from her impatience and vulnerability, to him forgetting to change out of the tweed into a tux, to their voices, which I could hear so clearly in my head.

Also, very sexy and sweet, without being too explicit or offputting. It was beautiful. A wonderfully intimate story.

Love the dynamic between the two. It was nice to read about the vulnerable side of River that we all know is there but rarely see when she is around Doctor.

Sad and cute at the same time. Fantastic.
