I just meant to say I absolutely love your story. It's just so perfect and realistic for this couple and the way you developed them since A gem of a soul (which is just a so great story). The whole idea that buffy cannot have children of her own because of the fact that she's a slayer, in a pure physical way is just so sad and in the mean time it makes perfect sense in your story. And I love the epilogue with spike reflecting on their future and how they got through this pure "life crisis" (compared to the other whole monster apocalypse they've faced I mean).
So just congrats for this short story, it's one of the best spuffy fic I've read especially when read just after A gem of a soul!

Aww this was cute and angsty idk if that was the purpose or not, but I like that even though the babies aren't theirs they are... If that even makes sense.

This story is really getting to me. I'm having fertility issues of my own I've just now decided that adoption might be what my husband and I have to do.

It was a nice story although I prefer "a Gem of a Soul", it seems to me that all that angst deserve a more fitting end

Hope Buffy will be OK with this "favor". And when they talk of surrogacy, is the plan to do in vitro, so it'll be Buffy's egg and Spike's sperm? Just wondering.

Loved gem of a soul and now loving this story. Hope you have lots of sequels to this story in the future, this is one of the best stories I have read of any Spike and Buffy fanfic.
