| Ocean455 chapter 12 . 9/2/2013 Great chapter! Reading about when Remus' friends find out what he is...not only is it entertaining to read, it also seems realistic. A bunch of second year boys probably don't have the minds to say the perfect thing- so out comes a joke. Though it's a comfort to know even at their young ages they're so accepting of their friend. I know i've already said this- but I really like your writing. It's so sophisticated. Even in third person, it captures the mind of Remus. I can imagine j.k. rowling writing a book about the mauarauders and this could be a chapter in it. You should just know you're a talented writer. :D Hope you can update soon. | Ocean455 chapter 11 . 5/11/2013 Awwww, Lily is such a sweet friend to Remus. I sort of saw her reaction coming, because of how accepting she is in your story. And, of course, the quote you wrote about in chapter 2 about Remus' relationship to Lily and how she was so kind and could see beauty even in those who couldn't see it in themselves. That quote helped me figure out how she was really going to accept Remus' "furry little problem." I really like how her character is portrayed in this story, she's a mix of stubborn and strong and serious (since she clearly disapproves of the boys' pranks) and yet also she's very caring and respectful. I'm glad James has come to understand the nature of Remus' and Lily's friendship. :) You've done a great job of keeping the chapter light and humorous, which is always a pleasure to read. I like Sirius acting as a dog, very peculiar and yet very entertaining. Remus giving him the dung ball was a fun little joke, though I'm unsure if Remus really meant for that to happen. Also, I love the tone of your writing. It's very intimate with the characters even though it's in third person. And your writing is very clear and a pleasure to read, really. Sorry it's been so long since I reviewed, but I'm glad to be back! Hope you can update soon! :D |
