Guest chapter 2 . 3/27/2019 I don’t understand why people think Annabeth is a Ravenclaw when she is literally the embodiement of Slytherin. First of all, why she may be smart that is not her defining trait as a person nor as a daughter of Athena. She always has a plan like a good little snake because she always know what she wants and how to get it. Not to mention her hubris and her life long ambition to immortalize herself by her work ( probably a building) which she gets might I add when she is asked to rebuilt Olympus. Her cunning side is shown throughout the books for example when she pulls the nobody card or even when she first tags along with Percy’s quest because she wants to be a part of Percy’s quest in the lighting thief knowing she could die. She uses her knowledge as a tool, she doesn’t learn for the sake of knowledge, knowledge is never the end goal. This checks of all three major traits of slytherin: cunning, ambitious and resourceful. All the Ravenclaw traits are actually slytherin traits; for example dispite her dyslexia she reads because she knows that that knowledge will come in handy. |
NightShapeshifter chapter 5 . 9/24/2017 Don't be so sure of yourself. You only highlight the obvious parts of their personalities, but have you ever thought of looking in-between the lines. For example,Percy Jackson in the House of Hades, page 44; - "He was dimly aware of Annabeth shouting, throwing random pieces of drakon jerky at the goddess. The white-green poison kept pooling, little streams trickling from the plants as the venomous lake around him got wider and wider. Lake, he thought. Streams. Water. Probably it was just his brain getting fried from poison fumes, but he croaked out a laugh. Poison was liquid. If it moved like water, it must be partially water. He remembered some science lecture about the human body being mostly water. He remembered extracting water from Jason’s lungs back in Rome.… If he could control that, then why not other liquids? It was a crazy idea. Poseidon was the god of the sea, not of every liquid everywhere. Then again, Tartarus had its own rules. Fire was drinkable. The ground was the body of a dark god. The air was acid, and demigods could be turned into smoky corpses. So why not try? He had nothing left to lose. He glared at the poison flood encroaching from all sides. He concentrated so hard that something inside him cracked—as if a crystal ball had shattered in his stomach. Warmth flowed through him. The poison tide stopped. The fumes blew away from him—back toward the goddess. The lake of poison rolled toward her in tiny waves and rivulets. Akhlys shrieked. “What is this?” “Poison,” Percy said. “That’s your specialty, right?” He stood, his anger growing hotter in his gut. As the flood of venom rolled toward the goddess, the fumes began to make her cough. Her eyes watered even more. Oh, good, Percy thought. More water. Percy imagined her nose and throat filling with her own tears. Akhlys gagged. “I—” The tide of venom reached her feet, sizzling like droplets on a hot iron. She wailed and stumbled back. “Percy!” Annabeth called. She’d retreated to the edge of the cliff, even though the poison wasn’t after her. She sounded terrified. It took Percy a moment to realize she was terrified of him. “Stop…” she pleaded, her voice hoarse. He didn’t want to stop. He wanted to choke this goddess. He wanted to watch her drown in her own poison. He wanted to see just how much misery Misery could take. “Percy, please…” Annabeth’s face was still pale and corpse-like, but her eyes were the same as always. The anguish in them made Percy’s anger fade." - Or perhaps Leo and his unspoken past? Have you ever thought of how fucking scared you would be if you would have actually taken their thoughts seriously? For shits sake, there are Fanfictions everywhere with theories on their past and some of them are pretty believable if you ask me. So please,be creative next time and let your imagination wander. |
Me chapter 2 . 6/3/2017 Um, Annabeth's a perfect Slytherin too. She's ambitious, cunning, and her fatal flaw is pride! A perfect Slytherin! And her mother Athena is also the Goddess of War. And Annabeth has street smarts. |
Snorlax Motive chapter 3 . 10/23/2016 First of all, hufflepuffs were never described as calm. Second of all, even if they were, Leo was never calm, all ways thinking and moving around and above all: hyper. I will agree that he's a puff though. |
Lara Molina chapter 2 . 5/2/2016 You know the two of them have been through Tartarus? Right? |
Vanadesse Sadroniel chapter 5 . 1/31/2016 Great story.i loved the way you make people feel for the characters. Just a note: In chapter four, it's drakon, not drakken |
Anonymous chapter 5 . 12/16/2015 YES. WE ARE THE COOLEST HOUSE. DON'T YOU DARE FORGET IT! ~Anne Onymous~ |
Anonymous chapter 4 . 12/16/2015 I like Nico's House. Myself, I call him Gryffindor. He's from the forties: people were (unjustly) put in insane asylums back in his day. He faced Tartarus. ALONE. Without the "little-kid-approved" nicer version Percy and Annabeth got. His sister died, his ghost betrayed him, his father betrayed him, and the fact that Percy, his first crush, was 100% heterosexual didn't really help. But he coped. He overcame his fatal flaw: holding grudges. Gryffindor to the max. But I see where you're going. Just know this: I'm as nerdy and geeky as it gets, and I took the J. K. Rowling-created test and got Hufflepuff. No, not all geeks and nerds are Ravenclaw. What about Hermione? ~Anne Onymous~ |
Anonymous chapter 3 . 12/16/2015 I think Leo, and all Hephaestus kids, really, belong in Ravenclaw. Ravenclaws don't have to be serious or uptight. It takes a lot of brains to be able to read blueprints and construct a giant warship designed in the Civil War. One, they talked really funky back then, and two, if you don't know what goes where or what anything does, then you can't do anything, initially. But I guess putting him in my house isn't so bad. You're right, we are underappreciated simply because ours is the one house whose Common Room Harry Potter has never seen. Actually, the Hufflepuff Common Room hasn't been seen by strangers in over a thousand years. WE ARE SUPERIOR! J. K. Rowling's daughter actually said, and I'm quoting Pottermore here, "Shouldn't we all want to be Hufflepuffs?" Yes indeed, yes indeed. |
Anonymous chapter 2 . 12/16/2015 My thoughts on Percy exactly. ~Anne Onymous~ |
Canon Archives chapter 5 . 12/14/2015 This is a very clever and interesting exercise. This is some serious personality analysis! Thanks so much, I enjoyed :) |
Canon Archives chapter 4 . 12/14/2015 Ch. 4, minor half-bloods: sounds 100% accurate to me! |
Canon Archives chapter 3 . 12/14/2015 Mkay, my friend, lets chat. First of all, I can tell you are a Hufflepuff fan (not a bad thing). I agree with some and disagree with some. Yes Hufflepuffs are loyal, but I don't think that should mean that if someone is loyal they can't be in a different house (ex: Ronald Weasley). In my mind, Hufflepuffs certainly can do brave things, but they tend to be underappreciated because they stay so under the radar when they do. So I definitely agree with both Leo and Frank in Hufflepuff (although it is possible to compare Frank to Neville in the way he grew into a leader, in which case he could be a Gryffindor). However. Percy Jackson. I understand your desire to put him into Hufflepuff, and the fatal flaw argument is indeed a good one. But when it comes down to it, I believe Percy has done to many crazy, dumb, brave things (like perhaps falling into Tartarus with his girlfriend) to not be a Gryffindor. As for the others, I totally agree. Piper is totally manipulative and secretive and has the potential to be an absolute bitch (even though she is far from it), so Slytherin works well. Jason also makes sense in Slytherin just because he is kind of unknown and is good at hiding his emotions. Plus in a way he is the opposition to Percy, and they totally could have been enemies. As for Hazel, okay I'll buy it. She's pretty cool and would make a good Gryffindor. And then... who am I missing? Oh yeah. Annabeth. Yeah that's a given. Lastly thank you for loving Leo, I have a special place in my heart for him too, by far my favorite character. (But please don't go into non-canon ships, I am too stubbornly canon too argue that.) Love you! Thank you for being awesome! |
miniondragon chapter 5 . 5/20/2015 (my opinion) Percy: Gryffindor/Hufflepuff Annabeth: Ravenclaw Piper: Slytherin Jason: Gryffindor Hazel: Gryffindor Frank: Hufflepuff Reyna: Ravenclaw Nico: Slytherin |
