| Astrid Goes For A Spin chapter 1 . 3/8/2013 I'm crying...you happy? ;) This was: 1) Amazing character depth and development NOT ONLY for Ruff and Tuff, but for Hiccup and Fishlegs as well. 2) Beautifully written; elegant prose, smooth, uninterrupted flow, good balance between sentences. 3) Classic - the insightful Hiccup line at the end mirrors the voiceover style of the movie and what I wish the TV show was. Lastly, 4) - Brilliantly plotted. Now off to read the rest of your treasures. :) |

| Pinnatus chapter 1 . 12/9/2012 I think this is an extremely thought provoking story. You provided a reasonable theory about Bucket and connected it to the the greater theme and lesson of "Animal House." The characters felt IC but you also showed sides to them that we don't always get to see, i.e. Fishlegs lieing and the twins being nurturing. I think you also captured Hiccup well because he is stubborn and curious. The length is just right and it flows really well. It organically transitions from one idea to another that made reading it enjoyable. The description and dialogue was just right and I didn't see any mistakes. Great work! Love that RoB is inspiring more fics for the fandom :) |
