And you're right. I'm back here on fanfiction dot net looking at toolshipping things after 7 years. This ship is for life.
Anyways I fully don't expect you to update this as much as I don't expect myself to come back here after another 7 years lol. But still this story is good. It's well written and I like the pace. I always found Jack's jealousy strange from 5ds and it's particularly flavorful in this fic. Despite writing this 5 years ago you should really be proud at how good this is. Thanks for the great story. :)

Hey there! That's actually one of the first times I review a fanfiction, sorry if this isn't very good! Also, English is not my first language, so sorry also for any mistake!

Anyway: I'm really glad I came across this work! Bruno and Yusei are my favorite ship from 5D's but finding something good involving them seems to be an hard task (sadly, there isn't that much to begin with...). I'm so glad to have picked up wip works, otherwise I would've never read this!

Where do I begin with? I think the overall idea is original and I can't wait to read more; like everyone, I too I'm wondering how Yusei and Bruno will manage their relationship at the end of the trial period - if the ending turns out to be sad or bittersweet, more or less like the series' one, I wouldn't absolutely be displeased. But I would equally adore to see them happy! They deserve a lot of happiness ;_;

I found the characterizations spot-on, especially Yusei's one: it's easy to imagine him behaving like you described and I especially liked when, in the early chapters, he told Bruno that he did not have to change for him if he really didn't want to. In my opinion, that was a very Yusei-thing to say, and it felt very natural! Actually, speaking of it, I think every character acts naturally, and that's one of the aspect I enjoyed more about this fic. Also, I loved the tiny bits involving Crow! Jack is absolutely perfect and Bruno's adorable (maybe he blushes a bit too much, but that's not a problem). I'm also glad you included Martha and the kids - when one of them remarked that he liked Bruno better than Jack because the robot bought them presents while the King never does, I laughed.

I wasn't expecting the Jack and Carly's breakup. Frankly, I though they would already be engaged and I was genuinely surprised when he mentioned the waitress to Yusei. That was a nice cameo! However, we both know they won't get far - Jack's feelings for Yusei get in the way, and I'm curious to see if he will tell him how he feels (in my opinion, he will). Honestly I don't ship Jack/Yusei since I like the former better with either Crow or Carly and I (clearly) enjoy more Yusei with Bruno, but a one-sided KingCrab doesn't seem that bad, especially since you're treating it well.

To end this long review: will Antinomy and Yusei ever met? Since you said you intend to follow the canon, I think they will. I already thought on how their meeting would be, along with one or two more things, and I can't wait to see how you will describe it, if you intend to do so. Also, will Rua and Ruka make and appearance?

Your characterization of both Yuusei and Bruno is especially accurate, and you've executed this idea so well with the pairing... There are just so many interesting nuances that really bring the story together and make it an enjoyable read, and not just pertaining to those two. Bringing one-sided kingcrabshipping into it has added an edge to an already interesting story, and I have to say that I'm groveling shamelessly at your feet for more.

...Is there any chance at all that you will be continuing? :( I sincerely hope so!

Oh wow this is super cute and great. I love the way you characterize Bruno and explain the quirks of his programming. Yuusei is wonderful and I absolutely LOVE the one-sided kingcrab arggghhhh it's my favorite way to ship it. And I have to say it really rounds out the story, for me. Going back and rereading the bits where Jack was probably thinking about his CRUSH hurt so good, especially since it's been so long that he has apparently "given up" on Yuusei ahhh /basks in Jack's suffering.
But Yuusei's and Bruno's dynamic is very sweet and I love the way it's described. I'm anxious about the end of the three months but you seem like you have a good handle on what's going on so I'm also really excited for the story to get there. I can't wait to read more!
