Complex implies an overarching system that governs all areas of the system equally. As of yet, this has not shown to be applicable to your magic. While it is multifaceted, and wide, the different parts of magic aren't connected. therefore they aren't equally governed. The different parts of your world aren't connected. therefore it's difficult to distinguish between what's important in the story and what's not. In general, the problem seems to stem from trying to blend canon too much with your AU, better to just go full AU and scrap everything that doesn't fit with your universe. Otherwise there are mixed expectations.

I enjoy what you're writing, but they feel like just words, not actual events. That sort of writing works for describing people, and characters, but setting and background require a more measured, interconnected approach.

The story idea for this and the rewritten fic is dope but the dense way new concepts are introduced makes it way too difficult to learn them or keep up with what's going on. I preferred the 1st at least because the story progressed at a reasonable rate, this one is going very slowly. At the end of the day, I appreciate you posting both pics, regardless both are interesting.

It is lines like these that make me wish you would continue this. Hints to a greater history. Not necessarily everything in history of this world, but something that would be able to give aspersions to something greater than the current narrator. Not accuracy but the dreams that can be imparted by a storyteller. To make your own assumptions on what happened between the lines you've read. Considering I have seen an update for an entirely different category in your page I do hope you still read these reviews. I do hope you one day continue this story. I've read the wizard of the kaleidoscope. This story seems to me more like a promise of what the story could have been, especially compared to the chapters near the end. No offence but they seemed rushed, as if you just tried to make what you thought your harry would have a difficult time against without considering everything. Well I can't really comment much more until I sober up but, please continue this story.

You have an interesting way of writing that is both intensely interesting while still managing to leave me lost and confused most of the time as to the many, many, things, places, people, and concepts you try to introduce. I hope you haven't been axe murdered at some point in the last two and a half years because you stopped updating this story and I would really like to read more.
