I love your author's note.

The story was good too.

But the author's note...
Cecilia Potter-Malfoy chapter 1 . 4/15/2014
Is it bad that I almost wanted this to end in tragedy; no more of John's soothing touch; just emptiness that leads to Sherlock trying to pull out his own hair in the throes of grief...? Not too twisted, I hope :P

Anyways, great fic :)

Hi, I just wanted to say that this is one of the best Sherlock stories I've read (I have a few friends I've sent this story to that agree as well). Your writing is great, and I love that there is something that John can do to comfort Sherlock and help him with his over-active mind. If you could write any more on Sherlock, I wanted to know that you have following of fans behind you! Most of them don't use fanfiction, but make an exception with your story. Keep writing!

Love it!
bohobo chapter 1 . 8/23/2013
That was great, I reckon you pulled off bromance, it was platonic manly affection. But, the hospital scene you scared me half to death. I thought he was dead! Was not ready for that much angst! But the ending was an adorable relief.

Interesting idea and well written. I enjoyed the read, although I felt the end a bit abrupt.

Sweet, sweet story. Maybe kinda OOC, but sometimes that's okay...
Whirlwind421 chapter 1 . 2/17/2013

madinalakesavedmylife chapter 1 . 1/31/2013
You. Are. A Genius. I loved this to absolute pieces - so much that I read it over again eight times! XD I loved the epic, brotherly bond between them, it's been a long time since I've read a piece which portrayed that as well as this one did! And no fear about Sherlock being kinda OOC, in my book. :) I think you fully deserve Gatiss' scarf as a reward for writing such touching, heart-warming fluff. XD

Not the deep friendship the two share I could see this happening. I loved the story.
MrBeeznus chapter 1 . 12/8/2012
I like it. I'm glad the plot bunny ran over you several times.
Radon65 chapter 1 . 11/9/2012
This was lovely. No, I don't think Sherlock was OOC - MAYBE his hugging John near the end and saying "Oh, thank God," but I bought it because it was a seriously emotionally distressing time for him. Honestly, it was kind of hard to have Sherlock behaving in an OOC manner since he was comatose and/or mentally compromised during about 2/3 of the fic! John running his fingers through Sherlock's hair made sense for John, although I thought it was a bit odd in the first bit that he didn't start attending to Sherlock's injury first. That would have made more sense to me. But everything else was great. You did a good job with Sherlock's reaction to his mother's death - he was upset, clearly, but didn't go crazy or anything, just shut down quietly, a sad and dignified reaction, and very much a reasonable one for someone unused to dealing with such emotions. I liked how it was told from both Sherlock and John's points of view as well, and I loved how John gently moved Sherlock into a lying down position on the couch, with Sherlock not resisting at all, just letting himself be comforted.

I also really liked the way Sherlock knew almost instantly that Lestrade's fingers in his hair were not John's, and the way Lestrade tried to help but stopped running his fingers through Sherlock's hair because it just wasn't working. And the last bit, when Sherlock finally gets a chance to run HIS fingers through John's hair - it was so sweet, it was clear that he was trying to make John feel the way he always felt when John did it for him. And I just liked the way John running his fingers through Sherlock's hair could calm him down at any time, when he was in his "black moods" (bonus points for lifting that description straight from Doyle), when he was drugged out, tied to a chair and half-conscious, no matter what. It was also a good moment when drugged!Sherlock reacted with confused fear when John first came in, and then the "almost physical change" in Sherlock as he calmed with John stroking his hair. This was a really brilliant motif and a very enjoyable story!

Oh my god, this story- just- wow, it is so bloody good. It is so sweet, I love the bromance of Sherlock and John portrayed here, I don't think Sherlock was OOC, I think you handled the idea perfectly. This is a brilliant story, well done!
