Pumpkin-Patch-Stalker chapter 1 . 3/24/2013
This is really amazing. I have a few ideas as to what was going on, but this story is like poetry, its your own interpretation.

But I interpretated it as Gold being Red himself. Its like you implemented the theory where Red died on mount Silver into the story. I took it as Gold being the reincarnation of Red, which explains to me how he knew all of those things from an early age.

I also think the bit where he climbs mount Silver and confronts Red is where he kind of like, merges with Red, or a moment where he remembers everything which is why he fainted. Which also explains why he says to Blue he has no idea where Red is.

I'm also guessing the bit at the end with the mother is Red's mother or something along those lines, and when she says, "He's home now." I get the impression that she realises that Gold is gone and its mostly Red now. Or alternativly, she could be saying that Gold is at home outside with his Pokemon traveling the world, or that he remembers he was Red and he feels content now (I got the feeling he was uncomfortable with the fact that he always won (like Red), if the scene with Lyra was anything to go off).

Well, this is what I got from it, but like I said, I could be COMPLETELY wrong. Either way, it was amazing.

I can't say that I really understand what's happening here.
But I like it, and it's damn well written. These kind of stories always bring me down about the Pokemon world, but you're the people who really expand what the world can be.

I always feel bad for the mother.

I am however, a little confused between the relationship of Red and Gold. Are they like connected or something?

but anyway, I really liked this story, and I hope you write more!

Wow. Incredible blending of Gold and Red together. This really does a complete exploration of their characters in gameverse, considering the parallels between the protagonists' stories in each Pokemon version. I don't quite get why his mother says "He's home now" at the end though. Blue's anger at Red's disappearance was a fabulous touch, adding to the mystery. I also like how Gold had no speaking part—adds to the aspect of the games that the protagonist never talks. Great intriguing piece. :)

I really enjoyed this story. It was an interesting take in how you portrayed Gold (I'm assuming) slowly turning into Red. I feel like you implemented that Gold was so used to battling because he's Red, or more specifically, the actual video game player because he's a natural at training and fighting his pokemon because the player knew the basics from playing the Red and/or Blue versions. Clever and well written!
