This is so beautiful. I enjoy your Alexander and his secret papyrus diary. It is filled with endearing childhood tales. Lovely imagery with the small boys detecting the little stream deep within the woods around Pella. It is a childhood adventure and remembering it rejuvenates both the King and his burdened General. I smile when i *see* him read the secret scroll. True friends may share everything.

This is beautiful. I could see Alexander doing something like that, and the sweet and loving interaction between Alexander and Hephaestion was just lovely. I think you captured their emotions perfectly. And very believable that Ptolemy would do something like that. Wonderful story.

I think it's a very sweet, romantic but extremely short story. You made me all oww! and aww! When I read this part "To the lonely boy that resides in my King." It's sooo cute! I like the idea of Hephaistion sneaking into Alexander's inner world, even if it was a little childish, but it was a great idea.
