I really liked the part where Thatch ate the Yami Yami no mi. In every other fic I’ve read, either Teach manages to escape with the fruit and his life or he dies and Thach throws away/hides the fruit so no one else can get it. I’m really excited to see how this continues

Well, that will be an awkward encounter.

I get the feeling that Akainu is a gruff annoyed kind of way likes Ace. Sees his immense potential at the very least. Now hes going to be trained so hard I doubt he'll be able to move afterwards. But you know Akainu wouldnt train him if he didnt care a little bit about Ace no dying. Or maybe he just hates the commander's got away and wants Ace to next time be able to take them down. Pirates getting away boils his blood.

As always loving the story. Thatch bwing nice to Ace despite Ace being highly suspect was sweet. I liked the brief Ace Marco Thatch fight. Thatch is so sweet and Marco just wanted to let off some steam. Now Whitebeard is interested in the marine. Wonder how that's going to end for Ace.

Also I doubt like Sengokou would care if Ace helped a pirate I mean Garp did it. Probably tons of marines have at some point. Akainu would be mad though dont want that.

Holy smokes, my prayers have been answered and my crops are watered, you UPDATED! So glad to see the long anticipated chapter 8-it didn't disappoint. Love the development Ace is having where he understands that he needs training to fight stronger people, like Marco; even though, he's going to Akainu for it. Also love how you described Marco and the overall "fight." Truly brings to light the position and power Whitebeard's 1st commander has as well as the strength Thatch has, despite being injured. I can't wait for Ace to meet Whitebeard and the other division commanders. I keep anticipating a battle between Akainu and Whitebeard and Ace is all caught up in the "leave no prisoners" rule and the reactions from the Whitebeard Pirates! Anyways, so glad you updated! Hope everything is going well on your end and now I will wait for the anticipated chapter 9! FYI, loved chapter eight's title; perfect description!

ahhh I'm so happy this updated! I can't wait for the rest of the Whitebeard pirates reaction to learning about Ace saving Thatch, and Ace trying not to boil anyone in the hotspring made me laugh! Love the story, can't wait for more!
