This was very well written with everyone's emotions perfectly in play, particularly Tony's as he reflects on the past deaths he's witnessed/been a part of and it makes him afraid to touch Tim for fear of finding out that he's lost another colleague and (tho he will never admit it) friend. I particularly liked the McAbby scene that wrapped it up when Tim awoke and Abby was forced to reflect upon her emotions. Character headspace is a favorite thing of mine and you have captured Abby's inner voice quite well.

Wonderfulmstory and I totally agree with your thoughts at the end! I need some McGee being comforted! A few times in the series he has been injured or emotionally hurt and they just blow past it! Darn it! I want McGee to be front and center! Lol. I can't wait until next week and now that I have read this, it just makes that wait even more unbearable! Thank you for sharing!

Me too I want the entire team to fret over him like they do Gibbs and Tony when they get hurt. I want McGee to survive but be hurt enough to make everyone realize how important he is to them too.

McGee was the one person I was really worried about. I figured Abby and Gibbs would be alright-maybe a few cuts here or there- Tony and Ziva might be a bit bruised but other wise fine, and Tim...*sighs* its hard to say. But Ducky will live! So I am happy.
