Oh this has to be one of the sweetest and heartwarming stories I've read in a long time. I really like the style of the story with Alfred writing letters to Arthur. You could really see Alfred's development from a kid to a reluctant soldier. Again excellent story!

I swear, this is the saddest and most incredible AU I've read. Ever. I swear, I think I might be crying. It seems weird, it's a bunch of pixels on a glass screen, yet they cause such true emotions. From the start, I had a feeling that Alfred would die, but as I read through these letters, I kept hoping that he would live. I'm glad that you didn't write Arthur's replies to his letters; I honestly don't think I'd be able to handle it if you did. I like the thought of just trying to imagine his reaction instead. "I loved you yesterday, I love you today, and I'll still love you tomorrow." That line; it was perfect. Seriously. This story captured my attention to the very end.
