Well, that was funny. Poor Ben Reilly. The Spider-Man of DC New York and he still can't get any respect. Glad you mentioned the whole issue of Batman himself not enjoying such good press, but if you're using the animated series as a template, you could have easily applied that to the entire Justice League during the first two seasons of Unlimited, where there was a concentrated effort to tarnish the good name of the League and raise suspicion towards them among normal people. None of them thought the same thing could have been done to Spider-Man? None of them thought, "Hey, let's take this with a grain of salt, since property damage in his fights could have been unfairly pinned on him like on any of us by some media hack with an agenda"?

All the same, I did like the interaction between Spider-Man and Huntress, and their alter egos Ben Reilly and Helena Bertinelli, as well as the bond between Ben and Dr. Parker. Oh, and J.J.'s the same everywhere, isn't he? Oh, well, wouldn't be him otherwise. I'll be looking forward to seeing more of this story, since we don't have nearly enough Ben Reilly fanfics.

It really is a good story, and is getting so much interesting that I was forced to creat an account here. The beggining was slow, but so is every other. Buona Fortuna!
