Thomas is my favourite character. I found this via the highclere awards thing. Its lovely. I wish we got to see these 2 interact more, and to see some of Thomas' softer qualities more (which he has lots of, he's a lot more vulnerable than people give him credit for). Anyway- this was very good!

You did a wonderful job - take it from someone burdened with the self inflicted task of writing an entire series about Thomas! Your Thomas is brilliant - and I love this story!

OMG, that was so touching! You really wrote Thomas totally true to his character. It was completely authentic. As it is Anna being the one who cares for even him, the moment he needs someone to lean on to. I absolutely loved this oneshot!

You've never written about Thomas before and you managed to nail him perfectly. How did you do that? I wish I were as good as you with getting him right.

I can definitely see this happening in the future. Anna is always so kind, and of course Thomas would be devastated. I've thought about this; we don't know who dies, and, to be honest, I hope it's not O'Brien. I like to hate her. ;) But if we see them fighting and everything, this could definitely happen and it's not like Thomas to get comfort from anyone.

I love this part: "Not only has he been afforded the opportunity to be a proper valet, it means that he no longer has to witness those irritatingly soppy glances and secret smiles that the two of them used to share, making it seem as though they were the only two people in the world." I've always thought Thomas and O'Brien were a little bit jealous of what John and Anna had. And, to be very, very honest, I think Thomas and O'Brien are the relationship I like most in DA, after John and Anna's, obviously. I've always thought of the courtyard as a place the four of them shared. ;)

You did a great job here - we'll have to wait and see if this really happens, but I can definitely see it all. Great story! :D

How funny, I was looking for exactly this kind of story, and yours was the first I found! Loved it! The fact you got all this out of a couple second scene in the trailer is amazing! :D

This is a lovely story. I don't want anyone to die either, but that scene in the trailer does suggest that it's O'Brien. I'd like to think that it would unfold just like this, with Thomas finally trusting someone enough to share this part of himself. After all, he's going to need a friend! :(

YES! I've been hoping someone would write this and I'm so glad you did. I'm still in denial of it being Sarah that dies, but this is brilliant and believable and once again (as seems to happen whenever you write something) you've made me want to cry.

Ugh, I hate Thomas so much, but this was the part of the trailer that I was most curious about. It just makes me love Anna even more because she would be nice to Thomas in that circumstance.
