It's nice you use your friend as a basis for Remus. But Remus doesn't use words like moron and fire away. Maybe it would be better to use Harry Potter books as a basis for this character?

I know it's nice to give your own habit to the character you love, but Remus doesn't smoke, and it doesn't fit him at all.
