I read this recently and I remembered how much I enjoyed playing Diablo 2 as a child. Too bad the story is unfinished but it's been a pleasure reading what's there.

I have been really enjoying this fanfic. I loved playing the game when I was younger and this fic reminds me of why. Really enjoy how each character is given a unique personality. Also enjoy how thier backgrounds are factored into the story as well. I will admit that I was always partial to the barb character.

I read this piece two years ago and every month would check the Diablo section just to see if you updated. I sincerely hope you update this fic.

Just to let you know...i've been following this story since 2002...lost track around 2005, and was very excited today (7/15/09) that you added some more to it. Granted it's been 2 years now, but hey...someone's still digging this story...keep it coming!

It is a sad fact, and quite worrisome at that, when you read a good story about 2 years back, come back again 2 years later and realized that the story is still stuck at the same chapter, as if nothing has changed in all those 2 years time.

Makes one wonder if something went wrong somewhere with the author, is he/she dead?, etc

If anything, its a shame to end a good story in such a lame manner, are there any other good authors whom could take up the mettle and continue the story?

I just recently picked up where I left off with fanfiction, and decided to go through some old favorites. I don't know if you're intending to finish this up, but it deserves a review regardless.

Your party of heroes is believable. That might not sound like much, but characterization is a huge thing for me, and you do it amazingly. Motives, habits, etc. I can fully believe that your party came together and stayed together under the circumstances; it was a nice change from the descent upon the Rogue Encampment.

Your battle scenes are highly descriptive and engaging. That said, the one thing that bothered me sometimes was paragraph size. Large blocks of text make me want to skip and skim, and only by dint of your writing did I push through them. Personal preference, I realize.

I'm holding out for an update, but won't hold my breath. Hope you manage to work your way around to it.

Generally enjoyed the story. Here's some constructive crit:

Marauders have four arms and generally wield TWO (not one) scimitars. Chapter 18 was good about this, but Stasya's fight in the Lost City had her fighting two armed Marauders, because they never made use of arms three and four.

The continually resurrection of Embalmed by Guardians and their cousins is easily stopped by your party. Frozen Embalmed which have shattered (from Tara's Ice) aren't able to be resurrected, and neither are those which have had their corpses exploded. Alternatively, it should be easy for your necromancer to skeletonize the Embalmed himself and have them fight against their creator. These are common tactics on the online game, where players (if possible) destroy the Embalmed first and then take out the Guardian.

I'm sure you're hearing this all the time, but please update? :-)

This is an amazing story and probably the best I've read here so far. I truly enjoy what you've done to the universe, the character interactions and how you somehow still manage to keep the fights interesting.
