SQUEEEEE! I was so excited to see this chapter, even if it is bittersweet that it is now complete. (And my muse does that same thing!)

I totally love this ending and you did a great job with the ball - just enough to give us the setting, but the focus was still clearly on Ziva & Gibbs. *happy, goofy smile* Right from the beginning and in so many places, I had a totally visceral reaction to what you described between them ... I could just feel it - and that is a marvelous thing to be able to convey.

Really loved Abby & McGee here, as well.

I really must list my particularly favorite lines: She stretched out with her hand, feeling for the one next to her. Fingertips touched, and with a smile on both faces, their fingers interlinked. *** Almost without thinking Gibbs squeezed Ziva's hand again, pulling it up to his waist and kissing the side of her head. (*happy sigh* could just SEE that) *** They were swaying slowly to the music, Ziva's head resting against Gibbs' chest, his slow and steady heartbeat echoing through her body, fusing with the music, and resulting in an innate sense of calm within her. (OMG - I totally LOVE this line...so beautiful) *** "Although if we could have been together earlier, then that I would change." (I could just HEAR her voice saying this) *** And that whole last paragraph.

Take a bow, my friend - this was a great story.

I almost thought you ended this and checked again to see it is not marked complete. Not sure if you are going to continue this story but hope you will. Always love Zibbs stories. Most stories are TIVA or GABBY, both of which I do not ship.

I just decided that I liked the title of this, so dove in. I'm sooooo glad that I did. You write beautifully, and tell a great story as well. Such a nice portrayal of what could be away from work. And anyone that ZC bugs to get updates up is someone I want to read! ;)

I wish this would go on a bit more, but will look forward to the epilogue, and the "suggestive" chapter. :)
