Sad yet cute!

This was an interesting piece. Very well-written and I'm not at all a fan of Colette, but I like the way you wrote her because while it added depth to her character, it was also believable. And thank you so much for writing a different facet of the Zelos and Colette relationship, which I've always thought must be interesting, but that I haven't found much for on this site.

You're very good at knowing when and how to end a scene, not too long and just short enough that the entire thing stays vivid. Thanks for a good story!

This is lovely. This is a weighty story in the sense that every word feels deliberate. I can't imagine Colette with a constant frown; I'd think that her regular smile would continue to be a facade. Something I find interesting is how it seems in the end how Colette saved Zelos far more than the other way around. She accepted Lloyd's death and realized that she could love Zelos with little help on his part while he was still wondering if he'd ever be worthy of her. Because of that, his development feels a little less...complete than hers. But I wonder if this incompleteness maybe helps the story - the lack of backstory certainly does. It all has a dreamlike, mournful feel. The nod to Colette's PS2 costume was great. Keep on going.
