such good writing i read all this in one sitting. its been so long since this was updated so im shure there never will be an ending. i hope they make it out n have a happy life, as happy as possible considering ivan's abusive behaviors and all. ty for writing this it was very interesting!

usually i dont like these typeof fanfics cuz they are completely ignoring the canon, forgetting that Ivan is actually really naive & innocent in the show... he wants peace and is looking for friends. He is creepy only when he gets angry and he doesnt abuse everyone - only baltics - and doesnt do it constantly & wouldnt just randomly hurt someone. alfred on the other hand is really cocky & selfish in the anime but usually his canon traits are ignored to make him seem weaker...idk why though ..
But coming from the standpoint of someone very interested in psychology this fanficshows perfectly how sociopathic mind works so i can ignore oocness. im pretty sure that Ivan is a sociopath. i mean, some of the attitudes and behaviours often associated with sociopathy include a grandiose sense of self, superficial charm, pathological lying, lack of guilt or shame, unreliability and manipulation. Sociopaths view everything in life - including relationships - as games to be won and they live to exploit other. Ivan's sociopathic behaviour was portrayed really well, that’s whythis is good story even though it was really depressing to read it lol xD sorry that was my psych nerd rant lmao

As I read down through the comments, it just reinforces the fact that there are a lot of really screwed up values among the APH fandom. It's also quite irritating to read the jokes or the Alfred-Should-Have-Done-This-Or-That, as not one of you in your little candy-cane worlds know what's involved in abuse/ drug addiction or how anyone can easily be subjected into doing things against their will.

Have you guys ever heard of "manipulation"? It's emotional manipulation that's being used to control/oppress/harass Alfred and keep him under Ivan's will. The reason that Alfred doesnt fight back is, not because theyre in love, but because of Ivans emotional/physical abuse. Just because Ivan doesn't hit or rape Alfred all the time doesn't mean he isn't abusing him. Nothing is more damaging to your confidence and self-esteem than being in an emotionally abusive/manipulative relationship. Usually neither the abuser nor the victim doen't see the mistreatment as abusive. But manipulative abuse is just as despicable and I really wish more people realized that.

Anyway, I think you have done excellent work with this abuse story (Well I really HOPE that this was deliberately a story about abuse. I guess it is, because the storys genre is Drama/Crime and not Romance). Personally I cant think this as a rusame or not even Hetalia fanfic, because this is taking the canon and completely changing it into something that doesn't even remotely resemble the original characters except for the names. The personalities? Changed. The ideals? Completely changed.

But still this is good abuse fic, because I guess this is not that far from reality, countless of inmates are raped and abused all the time in prisons. This story is awesome (and even scary) because the abuse and manipulation feel so realistic so kudos to you author. You really seem to know how abuse affects people mentally. If you will ever continue this, I would just warmly suggest making abuse clear to your readers so that even the most hardcore rusame fan would realize that this is not meant to be a romance story. I also suggest you to think carefully what is the message/moral you want to pass on to your readers. And to those rusame fans who actually were smart enough to recognize when a story does some really fucking uncomfortable shit and realize that this is a story about abuse/manipulation and are not deluded enough to just accept anything unhealthy as “kawaii” and to think that this is a love story you folks are awesome. :)

Okay... Im really sorry about what Im going to say now...

This is the worst fanfiction story I have read in a long time. It was enough to make me legitimately uncomfortable. I was really struggling through the last chapters. Frankly your story just glorifies abuse and I find myself to be just glad that you never finished this. Speaking as someone who has lived in a family where physical and emotional abuse is a part of everyday life, I find this story disgustingly insulting. Your fic glorifies abuse to the point it made my head hurt. Honestly, I'm truly tertified of all these comments saying that this is sexy or romantic.

Stories like this normalize and legitimate abusive relationships: Readers can experience that abusive partner has not done anything wrong or abnormal if it is presented as a joke.

Romanticizing unhealthy relationships means that at least in some level people think it's sweet that your partner tells you that you cant see your friends. It means people think it's totally fine if your partner blames you for something that wasnt your fault. It means someone thinks these kinds of things are normal and should be accepted in every relationship.

One can argue that it doesnt matter because this is “just” a fanfiction story. But you have to realize that we tend to write characters that make sense to us and who reflect our perception of reality. Just like every other media, fanfiction too affects those who view it. And the people reading these kinds of stories might probably be pretty young with very little relationship experience. Even older readers wont necessarily realize that this kind of behavior is not okay but instead they think that it is “cute” or "sexy". You would be suorised to find out how many people are not able to recognize abuse when they see it.

I'm asking you, please, if you want to write stories like this, you should make it clear to your readers that this isnt normal and that you do not approve or support this kind of behaviour towards other people. You should tell them that you are not writing about a love story - you are just writing about an unhealthy relationship and glorifying physical, sexual and emotional violence.

You probably are not going to do it but I'm asking you anyway - please, delete this story. Victims of rape and abusive relationships dont need stories which are insulting them.

What?, what is his plan?, I can't take the suspense! this fan fiction has been addicting since the beginning to be honest, your writing style is very neat and I hope that you continue this engrossing story.
