This is very good! I love how you've shown her changing emotions over the years. And I love how you left the story hanging with a question. It's a very poignant one that applies to all wars; how could one small change be worth the sacrifice.

It may have been distracting, but it was worth it, because this drabble is incredible... The futility of war and the sacrifice that comes with it, to no certain end, is always something that strikes me, even in a fictional world. And Minerva has been through far too many wars... As far as writing goes, I've noticed its the things that we can't get out of our head, the ones that write themselves that are the best. Your plotbunnies should be satisfied! Great work, Nel

Poor Minnie. She's one of my favorite characters, and I think you captured her spirit perfectly here, as well as the horror of war. This is really a beautiful piece.

I love it, I really do mean it. Mcgonagall has really been through a lot, having survived about three or four wars and many other battles and skirmishes. She really was a true Gryffindor. Keep updating, oh and good luck on your stories
