Dragon master 124 chapter 19 . 7/7 Wow, no mention of the Master Chief at all? How is he not Humanity’s greatest hero?! |
pepejohn chapter 33 . 4/14 The oxyd reviewer is basically my review down below. Only grammar complaints are the Shanix issues and the fact that you capitalize all species from Halo i.e. Sangheili, Huragok. However, you don't for the Citadel, turian, asari, salarian. Good story though. |
mattemo153 chapter 5 . 11/18/2019 I liked the chapter |
mattemo153 chapter 4 . 11/18/2019 Lovin the story. My only critique so far is the names for the aliens. Shellheads and hunters are 2 syllables and take more time to say. In the spirit of halo and the general military i would say a one syllable word would make alot more sense. Grunt, brute etc. Most of the common enemy names in halo are one syllable. I would have called them dino's and birds myself. I realise birds also mean planes but still. I cant think of anything with one syllable for the turians other than that. \_/('_')\_/ |
The Prime Cronos chapter 21 . 7/18/2019 I actually appreciate it how their are scumbags on both side, and I very much liked the idea of the quarian teeming up with the covanent. I am Kind of sceptical why parandovsky would Not use propaganda instead of Sabotage to weaken the elites though, but she is a killer and war mongorar, so i understand. It would be interesting to See factions coming out of every Nation trying to work togather, like the "pacifists", and on the other side the nationalist factions of each starte, trying to antagonize as much as possible the others. |
oxyd2013 chapter 33 . 6/3/2019 First let me say that I greatly appreciate there are people like you writting big free stories for other anonymous people on the internet: Thank you! BIG SPOILERS AHEAD! However, I can't really appreciate this story because I think it's built backward. Instead of creating a universe and making the caracters evolve inside this universe, it seems you have a master plan, an end goal, and you constantly "TWEAK" the universe and the caracters to fit your preconcieved plan. It leads to caracters and whole civilizations making the poorest decisions possible to fit to your end-goal. Some exemples: -the 314 relay magically activating without explanation -Udina going rogue during a critical peace conference and ordering a full scale assault on the council and the turian system, with the help of hundreds of "civilian warships" that also went rogue and were in the neighborhood. -then a rogue prowler captain does another rogue thing with a nova bomb. -then the Everest makes the worst possible decision at the worst possible moment. ... -then the quarians magically solve a hundred percent of covenant problems. -then the citadel soves all of it's economical/military problems and becomes ten times stronger than before in a few years -then the salarians are about to magically solve the slipspace problem to even out the stategic imbalance ... -then the master chief goes rogue by executing the worst possible military operation in history You see the problem? It's the tail wagging the dog, the writting technic and plot artifices creating the story instead of a story logically evolving inside a universe you created in the first place. So, I'm really sorry for the bad review and for shamefuly omiting everything that's good in your story. I still appreciate your gift to us ungrateful readers. Hope this helps for your future stories, that I will without doubt read. |
Apocalyptian Scribe chapter 1 . 4/8/2019 Wow, okay, now I have no idea where your story is. |
Orrible Amroth chapter 33 . 2/9/2019 Probably like a few others I was a little dubious upon reading the phrase "Krogan empire". Boy was I proved wrong. You truly have created a masterpiece, the plot is good, characters are good and relatable, explanations for everything are well done. A very big and well done step away from traditional ME/Halo crossover and I wholeheartedly recommend this to everyone. Sure it's not 100% accurate to the original material. so what? it's your imagination, your writing and everyone else can stop just dumping on your ideas because they wanted it to go a different way. Keep writing, and keep showing us what you've created. The bot thrower is a giant dick, but don't let it keep you from this. I hope I get to read more of this someday. |
Azrael The Deplorable chapter 1 . 10/23/2018 There are a lot of things wrong with the combat capabilities of the ME ships, technology, FTL, armor, and just how fast your artificial buffing the Citadel species. First ME ships are not very strong at all with dreadnoughts having less than a foot of armor. The best armor to have would be Silaris armor, but that's hilariously expensive for anything bigger than a dreadnought. Do remember that the Destiny Ascension is a super dreadnought that almost bankrupt the entire Asari Republic, while The UNSC doesn't even suffer anything close to bankruptcy when building 1.5 kilometer ships. AIs, AIs, AIs, AIs, the Citadel wouldn't in any sense of the word, would be able to stop the UNSC AIs of just hacking away at anything they had and be able to see everything they do. Post-war AIs I believe only now take up to five flash clone brains to be AIs now. The way you handle them was just BULLLLLLLLSHIT! Really!? Viruses are what stops the Hyper advanced AIs from hacking into everything!? To add to all of that is the fact that recently the AIs at large are going missing for no reason and that side plot goes no where. Really? Then there's FTL, if anything just played the games of post war UNSC and had knowledge of the covenant slipspace drives then everybody would know how accurate they are. Pre, during, and post war covenant always had accurate drives to the point they could slipspace in and out of the atmosphere of a planet. Maintenance on covenant slipspace drives were not always dangerous but when they got more knowledge of it, it got a lot safer, same goes for the UNSC. Covenant and post war UNSC could easily do in system jumps with little to no difficulty. On the other hand you have the Citadel species with their highly inferior FTL capabilities by a huge margin. In some screen shots of the Infinity, it can been seen traveling 7,300 light years per day! Reasoning for this, you may ask. Simply in playing halo 4 master chief leaves Infinity to pursue the Ur-Didact to ivanioff station and to Earth in maybe two to three days. Both are over 2 thousand light years for three to well over 3 thousand light years for two days, in other words superiorly faster than Citadel FTL speeds. Remember the Infinity had to go faster than the Ur-Didact to arrive at Earth on time and to send Del Rio packing and making Lasky the new caption. If it was slower than the covenant's slipspace drives then it would mean that traveling to Requiem (Norman Arm) would be impractical, time consuming, and waste of resources for possible rebuilding glasses worlds. Citadel FTL can not in any form make in a in system jumps at light speed for obvious reasons, first it is still in real space, so they run a very high chance of running into space debris, rocks, and other grain sized atoms. So if a Citadel ship makes in system jumps will run the risks being vaporized. Ship-to-ship would be hilariously one sided in a way of it being virtually always in favor of the UNSC and the New Covenant Order. How? Remember ever since the Great War the UNSC was always on their heels, so to get maximum firepower and stopping power they refit and designed their ship around the heavy coil guns. MAC guns can routinely put down hundreds of Megatons of tnt and can easily be 4 times more powerful than the Tsar bomba (80-100 Megaton of tnt). The maximum a Citadel dreadnought could take wasn't even close to a megaton let alone hundreds of them (maximum being 454 kilotons of tnt and this isn't tanking the hit it's being gutted in one shot by Reapers). Citadel navy fighting the Covenant would be a nightmare for them. The covenant as everybody knows uses energy based weapons. Okay? Okay. What does the Citadel have a terrible job of doing in their navy? ... Heat Management. People are right when they say that the kinetic barriers would slow down or stop the plasma jets, but that not in any way stop the unbearable heat that they will be getting. Battles always are waged through short skirmishes of 5-10, fight the covenant would be last up to maximum 2-5 minutes. All of that heat would just be directed to the ships and they would cause catastrophic failure, think of Chernobyl when the reactors failed to cool down and apply it to the Citadel ships if they face off against the covenant. By this point the UNSC would already have it's own repulse lasers (secondary guns) and Krogan ships will be getting the business if they try some bullshit of a broadside UNSC ships or Covenant. The biggest casualties would be frigates and destroyers of both UNSC and Covenant ships, while The bigger ships would need a lot more firepower to bring down. Everything is the same in infantry armor , vehicles, and weapons covenant would have the advantage in everything, energy directed weapons. ME vehicles are known for there mobility not there durability. There are a few things that are wrong, like how to authorize a NOVA strike would never be solely in the hands of ONI. UEG and the UNSC would never let that happen, even if it's a military dictatorship. I can not see the authorization of NOVA strikes being only in the hands of CINCONI or just Section 3 or 2. Heads would be rolling shortly after the news reaches UEG and HIGHCOM. Section 3 and 2 would be cleansed immediately for obvious reasons. And if this is one of there powers, then why is Doisac still standing and not a new asteroid field for their c4imes against humanity? They brutally tortured, maimed, and ate the victims of their skills or captures of men, women, and children. Doisac shouldn't be standing no matter what, if the new covenant order, and UNSC didn't have eyes on Doisac, then i that planet would be gone without a second opinion from ONI. It's not like the new covenant order pushed them back to their homeworld and stripped them of there technology for a reason. There are a few things that are still wrong with this, but this is the major stuff. It's still good, but the story title would be more accurate with: Nerfed UNSC and New Covenant Order vs. Buffed Citadel species. |
AmethystPone chapter 5 . 10/17/2018 ME infantry weapons lack stopping power... They either over-penetrate, or stop-dead (if slightly damaging it) by hardened armor of something like ODST... As evidence by today's small caliber, it just isn't enough to stop someone without hitting that small specific spots. It's only real advantage is that the bullet trajectory is better, and that it can fire A LOT more. |
AmethystPone chapter 4 . 10/17/2018 Wait...Weren't ODST also have energy shields now? And weren'tmany of them seem to be equipped with energy weapons, which would no-sell the ME shields? Another thing to note is that ME ships can't FTL AND fight for long/that often, it would burn out their ship's system, if not cook the crew. |
Masterwheeler02 chapter 33 . 10/13/2018 Hey if your still continuing this story I was wondering if you could tell me where to read it really enjoy it thanks pm me |
This is just chapter 13 . 10/13/2018 Ok dude, was a nice story up to this point, but then you went and did this bullsht with the Everest; "OMG they broke the treaty as soon as it was signed, OMG!" just to make tensions rise back up quite abruptly and artificially. Now listen here, I know and accept fully that the councilors are depicted as retards for a reason, but anyone with an IQ of 50 and above could see that scene and deduce what was happening within seconds. And don't give us crap about emotions running wild, because when a race has been space-faring for centuries, even it's most retarded members would recognize that cool-headed individuals should be put in leading roles (Such as: even though in the games the council was a bunch of self-deluding morons, they still always kept their cool), so nope, no emotions running wild in a situation that was SO FCKING OBVIOUSLY out of their control and not their fault. You would basically have to have a subhuman's intelligence to get carried away right then and there. Just my two cents... |
Pteaset chapter 33 . 10/11/2018 What no |
