I love this. Ursa running away to become Toph's nanny is a great concept. And Poppy having some confidant and stuff, even if she can't bridge the gap and gets jealous... really great for drama and stuff. Especially if it gets revealed later that Ursa was a royal.

I hope you continue and finish this! I need more Moms for Toph fics.

I'm f*****g crying right now.
And now I need more Ursa/Toph fics in which Ursa is a maternal figure that Toph wants and needs. And I love the way you handled Poppy and her struggles. She isn't portrayed as the character which we love to hate (That's dear old Grandma) and I love it when people give a voice to secondary characters.
And now I'm going to go and reread the Stalking series (It's been like 4 or 5 years since I read it and for the life of me I can't recall anything other than moonpeaches and Katara written in the first person is actually pretty hilarious) and I'm curious to see how this story fits in that universe.

This almost feels like the ending. But I know that more happened after reading "somewhere out there." (I'd really love to see that story updated too, but only after Worst Prisoner 2 and No Zombies are finished first). I feel like there's not much left to finish this story with. After a six year hiatus, maybe polish it off and finish either after she is fired, or after she makes it to Ba Sing Se. Or you could mark this one complete. I have really enjoyed reading this story. Ursa and Toph make such a sweet and entertaining pair together and I hope this chapter wasn't the end of that.
