Wow! You’re such a great writer! I was expecting another play through the day and figuring it would be interesting but nothing really new, then you throw this at me! I didn’t expect at all to see a beautifully poetic heart to heart between Sherlock and John the next morning. Fantastic job, and I’m off to your next story!

I like the conversation after the shooting. They are friends, glad John cleared that up for Sherlock.

I smiled, too. Interesting that you chose to follow John's thoughts AFTER that first night. I like it. We already know what HAS happened...what John did... It is satisfying to get the follow-up and see how John processes what has happened and what it means to him. Thank you. :)

Nice! I liked the look into John's mind, and his worst fear.
Most people simply assume that John has nightmares about the war, others about him not being able to save his patients, but I think the idea of his worst nightmare being not save Sherlock specifically was a nice and unique touch.
I mean, really, she just met this man, and already he's been put off by him, and also people who know Sherlock, so the idea that after about 24(ish) hours, he is already afraid of no being able to help Sherlock, this man he just met.

You just have to love John. He's so darn cute. And loyal. And just plain good. Sherlock's lucky they found each other.

And that sums them up just right.

How could I have missed this when it was first published? Poor fool me. This is brilliant- because it is the missing scene that really needed to have been written. And the characterisation is spot on. "Less artillery though" the perfect Sherlock retort.

Ah Watson the adrenaline-junky-army-doctor-bad ass. I love stories like this. Even when they just summarize things.
