Girl, I’ve got so many words and Sweet Jesus Christ on a Graham Cracker I don’t even know where to start.

I guess first off, this is damn near perfection. I hate Light. I mean “evokes seething rage with every action he takes” kind of hatred, and yet his character is just so intriguing which is how I ended up here in the first place because I certainly hate that I love him and love that I hate him. And you have captured him so well here. He’s still the same Light that makes my little weeb heart happy.

Second, holy shit YOUR WRITING STYLE. Just... just... bleh what even are words? I don’t even know how to start forming sentences about how much I adore how you write. To steal a line from Hamilton, you’ve built palaces out of paragraphs. Your descriptions of events and emotions and thoughts and all those other nouns is so fantastical and entertaining and you do a wonderful job of getting your point across in a way that’s effective but also brings forth the proper emotions whether that be humor and disgust or whatever other emotion that was meant to be felt.

Third, the relationship between Light and Masami is so convoluted in the most wonderful way. They’re both so obviously fond of each other in a way that occurred very organically from “why must this annoying motherfucker have to be in my life” to “okay, so maybe I think they’re okay now, but I’m sure as hell not going to admit it.”

Fourth, I hope you find the inspiration to continue this, because it’s astounding, but I can also understand what it’s like to leave a story hanging because their are quite a few sitting in my own profile that are the victims of loss of creativity so if this is how it is to be then let it be so. Just hope you’re well.

I was thinking about this fic earlier today, and I'm so glad I decided to reread it. I love the sort-of relationship between Light and Masami, the way they so obviously do actually like each other, but are too caught up in their own bs to really figure it out. The way that Light and Masami are actually opposites, and yet so similar...idk, it's like Misa said I guess, opposites attract. They're very different characters but they work well together, and I'm ultimately very interested in how that dynamic will continue to play out when it comes to Kira. Also i still think it's incredibly funny that Hideki Ryuga is even in this fic. I really love this fic, It's one of my favorites, and i genuinely think about it so often it's kind of ridiculous, and even though I'm sad i probably won't see an update for it any time soon, I'm still really pleased with what I do have. This fic is just...incredibly funny, and I enjoy it immensely. I hope one day you'll return to this fic, even if it just for a few more chapters.
Also i love the way you write Ryuk, i think it's that perfect mix of humor and intimidation that really just works for me.

I love their relationship and jealous Light is so fun to read. I honestly really want some more jealous Light lol. I also love Sayu and Masami's friendship!

Actually her lifespan was extended twice. A Shinigami dying for someone, preventing their death, gifts their lifespan. Both Jealous and Rem died for Misa, and we don't know how many years they gave her. Light has no way to predict her lifespan unless Ryuk were to tell him.

Can't say I'm surprised but I'm very disappointed in Masami this chapter.
She just capitulates to anyone and everyone in all situations, doesn't she? Masami is practically the poster child for pushover. She may put up a strong front, but that's all it is: a front.

I know it's part of the culture and all, but it is positively disgusting how she capitulates to her mother's evety whim. God forbid she have any free will.
She should tell her mother to go royally fuck herself. She doesn't want Light near her like that so he won't be. What kind of mother listens to her daughter saying there is something VERY wrong with a guy and then proceeds to handcuff them together?

Sometimes the hardest thing to see is that which is right in front of you.
Masami drawing Light as Kira is her subconscious telling her she thinks it is likely, but her conscious mind says that's silly and far too unlikely, so she doesn't even let herself consider it.
Or that's how I see it, anyways.

And Ryuk goes to check in on her and sees her drawing of Kira Yagami. I love it
