This story looks promising. I'm thankful that you've started it up; Skullgirls' section on this site is quite lower than I'd like. I love a good humor story, too.

Your grammar and spelling are, for the most part, flawless. There is a very minor tidbit toward the end: Filia says, "I hope something good", when I imagine you meant for her to say, "I hope there's something good". Minor mistake though.

Now, I love how you've got Filia and Samson's characters correctly. That brings great joy to my heart; quite a few fics here on seem to capture Filia as being relatively clueless in *everything*, not just her past, and also seem to portray her as a helpless, innocent damsel-in-distress, owing any toughness, skepticism, and/or fighting aptitude to Samson alone. Such a portrayal is, of course, very untrue; she may prefer to avoid fighting most of the time, and Samson may be a big help, but Filia knows how to dish out the goods, and when to do it. Filia's actions in this chapter show you are loyal to this; at the same time, you keep her in-character with the nice person she is.

I must say, the 'humor' genre label here is well-earned. Samson is in-character too, and he's got some entertaining lines here. I won't list any, in case someone sees this review page prior to reading the story, but good job. You've also caught the beginning of the relationship between Filia and Samson; I'm glad.

Now, about the allusions to real-world stuff and other works: You've successfully managed to integrate these other works *into* the Skullgirls world in a way that emphasizes the characters' personalities, tying into and strengthening my praises for you in the second paragraph above this one. For this feat, I commend and thank you, and humbly welcome the references.

Now then, for the story itself, I'm interested. We have relatively little to go off of now, with Skullgirls being so young and all, but you seem to be doing well in making a story out of what we do have, mixing it with your own genius. Filia and Samson are off to a not-too-rough start, it seems; I can hardly wait to see the next chapter.

I'm liking the back story you have started for Filia and her evil parasite hair that could be Venom's long lost cousin! Please continue this if you can :D It has great potential!

i'm liking this story it gives extra character to Filia and Samson that the game doesn't and it seems that this would really happen.

Continue this story! Even the canon story doesn't explain much about how Samson got onto her head.
