That's relatively recent, for being one of the first anime you saw. The first anime I ever saw was waaaaay back around the early days of Toonami, when I was probably no more than six or seven, so I don't remember it very well, but I'm fairly sure it was a rerun of one of the Robotech versions of the Macross series. The series that got me into anime, though, was Yu Yu Hakusho, years later.

I only ever saw the first couple of episodes of Denno Coil when Dattebayo Fansubs released them, but it remains on my to-do list. Which is by now very long and not very up-to-date...
