**Haha, this line made me laugh out loud. So blunt, Lucius.

"I promised her then that, if it were possible, I would fall in love with her."

**This is such a wonderfully poetic line, and it being the summary really caught my attention.

**Also, at first at the end of the story I was mildly confused, but then I realized that Ginny had died and I was like "Aaaah feelings." My two main pieces of constructive criticism is that while it worked well for the story for Draco and Ginny to be married, I have trouble seeing Ginny marrying someone she didn't love or staying in a loveless relationship. Also, while this piece has a nicely poetic tone, it doesn't really read like a diary entry, so I think you could probably just take out the line "From the diary of Draco Malfoy:" Anyway, interesting one-shot.

Now I'm not normally someone who really likes diary entries very often because most of the ones that i've read the character is just written really quite OOC but you got the characterisation of Draco perfectly in this even though it's totally AU. Then again you've written is so could be totally believable since after all Ginny is a pureblood and there aren't really that many that would be left around after the war. Anyway this was very well written and you've made me think that Draco/Ginny could be a possibility.

The only criticism I have is that I don't think Draco would /ever/ write in a diary. But besides that, this was very well written.

The idea of an arranged marriage is terrible and completely a Pureblood ideal. I don't see how they can marry someone that they don't love and, most of the time, never love. And Draco and Ginny have two different ideas of what should come from one an arranged marriage.

But I am rather confused by the ending. Did Ginny actually die?

Overall, this was lovely.

I loved how you finished this piece off! The lines at the end, with him telling himself over and over again that he'll tell her he loves her is absolutely perfect. I love how you also contrast their points of view on how marriage should be in the beginning - well done with that. But seriously though, the last two lines were perfect. The grave and death do us part imagery are just so unbearably hauntingly beautiful that... yeah it's just perfect XDD My only problem with this is that it's in a diary. I don't think Draco would ever, ever keep a diary - it seems like a very girly (or Voldemort-y) thing to do and I dunno, it just doesn't fit my headcanon of him. To be honest, if you'd just kept this without an introduction and just started with the "As a girl..." I think it would have been perfect :) Awesome job with the ending!

That was amazing. I would never imagine Draco to be an abusive partner, but he still truly loves her in the end. Also, it's really in character how all his parents care about is producing an heir, to have the Malfoy name passed on. It was a great fic, I liked it. Nice Job.

Awesome story! I like the -no so happyly ever after- type of story... so i really really enjoy this one.

I forgot how much I love Draco and Ginny as a couple. They really are quite cute. I think it's a little out of character for Draco to be keeping a diary, but if I'm willing to suspend my disbelief on that, then this really is a nice, angsty fic that I really enjoyed. I liked being inside Draco's head; it was nice to see what he was thinking. Overall, great job on this!

I love this so freaking much! I was a little concerned when I read the beginning about it being from Draco's diary because I'm not a huge fan of diary entry fics but this was written beautifully. I love the whole concept of the two of them being forced into a marriage that neither of them really wanted and you make that relationship seem very real. The fact that he wanted to tell her that he loved her but doesn't know how so he's writing them instead is so sweet. The prompt was very fitting for them as well. I may have to take a look at the challenge. You've captured Draco's voice and train of thought really well and this is so very believable. Great job with this :)

I've never really been a huge Draco/Ginny fan, but this was written beautifully, and though it was bittersweet, it was just sweet enough, and... wow. That's really what it is. Draco was definitely in character, and the emotions were portrayed well. Great job. :)
