Good story ...but even though the face slap was accidental, I am appalled that Gibbs didn't immediately apologise. It is because he didn't that Tim and Ziva were worried in the first place, knowing how Gibbs is for making up his own rules. After all, how were they to know that they wouldn't be next in the firing line (although I think he would be foolish to try slapping Ziva in the face).

Gibbs' rule about never apologising is wrong and is based on arrogance. It is not a sign of weakness to apologise, it is a sign of strength and wisdom to acknowledge that you are in the wrong.

I love how gossip gets around at NCIS... it makes me laugh. :)

It sounds like it was an accident, but I can see how stunned it would make Tony, not expecting that at all.

why is DiNozzo such a soft touch,a face slap is different to a head slap, even if Gibbs did not mean to do it, Gibbs should forget about his rules this time and say how sorry he is to Tony.

I loved Ducky and the others showed geniuine concern and they were so funny the way that they reacted. Great interaction between Gibbs & Tony -0- very very believable. I loved how Tony tensed up at the end when Gibbs did apologize. They were do have an unspoken language.

Great chapter this was a great start to this story. Even for a sniper, you have to wonder if Gibbs should have "misfired" with a head slap by now.
