darkest magic chapter 3 . 10/3/2012
Ok, this was a nice update, however, you should make them longer or update more often with shorter chapters. You left way to many questions that need answering. Why is his grandfather so pissed? Did Sirius explain what happened to Harry? Where he lived? How he grew up? Does Sirius get his wand? What about one of the elves? Where is Dobby? Hedwig? Treason was mentioned, but to whom? Is Harry royalty? Must have answers!:-)
michaeldavidgeng chapter 3 . 10/3/2012
Cool chapter
Guest chapter 3 . 10/3/2012
Sorry but this chapter is a complete meltdown. First you make Harry even more stupid than ever imaginable about his wand only to berate him by his ancestor. WTF?
And then you created this new magic believe system which has so many plot holes worse than swiss cheese. Come on, if magic only works because people believe the spells have certain affects on *themselves* it would fail for people which do not know these spells. Like all kids and any esoteric spell people didn't hear about because they didn't read all the freaking spell books. Which obviously would not work. Logic isn't your strength.
Teufel1987 chapter 3 . 10/2/2012
That sounds a bit dodgy ...

The caster of the Avada Kedavra would power the curse on his belief that the curse will kill his target and is unblockable so in a way, that would kill anyone who doesn't know what the curse does or a person who believes that his shield will block the unblockable.

Also, your assertion that a person who has never been told of the effects of the Cruciatus will not feel the effects if the curse was cast on him is full of holes as well. That would mean that all Muggles who don't know about the existence of magic are immune to those curses. And yet, Frank Bryce, Tom Riddle sr. and his parents, those spiders Moody used all felt the effects of the unforgivable curses despite never being told of their effects. And there would be countless more Muggles tortured imperused or killed with those curses
Teufel1987 chapter 2 . 10/2/2012
Quote:Something inside him told him it would not have been acceptable for him to knock because he felt like somehow this place was his.:End Quote

"he felt like somehow this place was his"? What an odd thought for a person who KNOWS that the place is his! After all, you did have him remark that it was his ancestral home without making much of a big deal about the revelation so it wasn't a surprise that he was in his ancestral home. So why would he feel that the place somehow his when he knows?
